We shouldn't fire Jason, just hope he learns from this year.
He did great in implementing the diamond midfield and pass play, but it's time for some tweaks.

One thing I've been wondering, whatever happened to Jason going to England via Klinnsmans hookups, learning some variety and different ways of training, expanding his knowledge, etc etc. He made such an effort to go out and learn these new things and I have seen absolutely NOTHING from the way this team has played that leads me to believe he's implemented any of that.

The result of that trip was why Johnny Steele got so many minutes. That's the only thing I can think of as to why Steele go that many minutes.

Our play has become positively baroque--
Self-consciously pretty but not functional Slick clever passing not leading to attacks.

Its so hard to care now about the MLS playoffs. Maybe if Philly was in there, but alas...

Am I the only one? I told my kids that MLS is dead to me until the trades/drafts start.

As much as my wife wishes soccer was over, I will likely watch it until the end.

Having devoured every available playoff game since 1996, I will simply enjoy the rest rather than being stressed (happily so) about what comes next for RSL.

That was my situation. We fell asleep during the first half here in EST. So, I recorded the game to watch the second half. I accidentally caught the score the next morning and we decided that was that. We may yet watch the second half... but it will be with a heavy heart knowing that every single one of them could be gone by spring.

The problem is not the players in the way you are describing. The problem is the players at the salary we have them. We have a virtually frozen roster because most of the players we have are between 10 and 20% overpaid for their quality. That means we have very limited ability to add quality pieces to the roster. It isn't that the team is bad, it is the team is only a starting lineup and with very little in the way of quality back-up material.

Combine that with Kreis having only one formation to play and we are a team that is waning in its ability to get results.

Kreis needs to learn how to adjust. One good idea is not enough. We need to shed a fair amount of overpriced players so that we can have a good quality roster with more depth and better flexibility for dealing with injuries, aging, etc.

I think it will take 2 years to accomplish. Next season may be a 'just barely makes the playoffs, maybe misses' seasons.

This is destined for Houston @ LAG
For the love of god, please don't make me watch Magee and Keane play against Houston again.
I was considering their might be a divine being after SJ got eliminated. With these results, atheism is back on top

Was actually cheering for Seattle to take out L.A. Got to give the Gals credit for turning around their season.
Good night and good luck Seattle.

Hate Seattle more than I hate LA so this is fine by me. Kind of sucks knowing we could've hosted the final had we done something.
