Moisander probably deserved 3 or 4 yellow cards in this match. Shows you how the refs favour ajax wherever they play. Are you in the wrong forum?

And in minute 90 Pelle ties it with a brilliant strike.

Ajaxers falling down now, feigning injury. HEY, you're not in Amsterdam Arena, remember?

Frank the Boor is pi**ed. He was expecting help from the ref's association on this one.

2-2 draw. Feyenoord missed too many chances to have won this.

    Game over, 2-2.
We played well, very high effort and pretty tough. Boetius had a great debut, very skillfull cant wait to see more of him. Pelle did great too.
Only wished that Schaken could have came earlier, he humiliated Blind constantly. Also wish BMI would come for corners/freekicks much more often, if he can score that way for the NT he can do it for us right.

Ironic considering Feyenoord did the same twice in this game and Clasie did it once more outside the box with nobody around when Ajax hit the break/counter with Babel. :p

And he too has suffered already from 2 severe injuries. Has just recently come back from one and now people can see what he is capable off. Hope those were incidents and not signs of what to come.

    Hi there,

This might seem random as I don't normally venture onto the Dutch part of Bigsoccer. However, I was just wondering how Harmeet Singh has looked so far with Feyenoord, if the club has played him that is. Any feedback would be welcome.

    Best Regards,
    Macksam

Singh got a few games in the beginning. He wasnt bad, but not good enough to get a starting spot at the moment. I think its mostly a matter of time/training/adapting before he will get more playtime as he did show promise.

What also played a role is that we had to more or less rebuild our midfield this season, so the non-starters saw alot of gametime reduced for the sake of the starters getting chemistry.

Singh has something, but was pretty flat in the games I saw from him. There was one game not so long ago he showed more initiative. Also tried to get close to the goal and score a goal. His technique is something to build on, but I guess his defensive side is not good enough to grant a starting spot. I think Singh would do best on the spot of Immers and though Singh is a better footballer than Immers (as many players in the Feyenoord selection are) Koeman prefers somebody who runs like a headless chicken and do the defensive work. Immers does get into (many) scoring positions I have to say, but also shoots over the bar from 5 meter, so there is not too much value from that. Singh could probably also play on the spot of Leerdam ( IIRC he was subbed on/off for him even a few times), but this is where Singh is the victim of a synergy construction. Clasie (arguably the best footballer of Feyenoord) is best served to be paired with a vertical mobile midfielder. Another player being victim of this construction is Vormer who is probably also a better player than Leerdam.

Singh also has other pretty tough opposition from other midfielders at Feyenoord (they have quite some midfielders in the selection) and it will be tough for him to become a starter.

^Immers can hit PKs but otherwise has one of the worst shots in the Eredivisie. Clearly should have scored against Ajax last Sunday but glad he kept his form and skied the ball over the bar!:p

  17. He should have scored twice. Someone should have told him that the correct time line is first to shoot the ball in the net and then celebrate it by kicking the ball in the stands. The other way around doesnot count, alas.

Leerdam won't be playing for Feyenoord anymore. He doesn't want to extend. So Koeman chooses others.

Well news just came in fresh today. Leerdam does not want to extend his contract and as a result of that will be benched most games from now on. This will mean Singh has lost an important competitor in the team for his position. Now it will be between Singh, Vilhena and Vormer. Still tough, but one step closer to first team action.

Assumptions are that Leerdam will wait untill he is transferfree(end of the season), and then leave to perhaps Twente like other Feyenoord talents before him.
Hes not a great player, but definatly usefull as a backup. Cant imagine him being more than that though, especially at Twente.

Im not too bummed, apart from that we wont be able to sell him for some money. I think we have better midfielders than Leerdam.

    Lost to Twente 0-3.
Twente was disciplined, Feyenoord pretty poor and lacked creativity. The effort was good though, and we were a bit unlucky with the quick 0-2 within 20minutes which we couldnt recover from. The 0-2 and 0-3 were very preventable, Lamprou playing a negative role in both.
We also should have had a penalty against because of an handball of Vilhena blocking a cross from Cabral.

Ohwell, lets hope next game is better.

  23. The most annoying thing is that if we shoot better we would have beaten both Ajax and Twente with a few goals.
The good news is that we are almost out of debt in record time. Next thing to do is to make up the negative equity.

  24. In today's interview with AD Sportwereld Leerdam suggested that there was a connecting factor in the not extending of contracts from Jde Guzman up till him. The unspoken suggestion stinks like Feyenoord foul play.
I never call players of what club whatever shit heads or worse, because I donot know them to make such name calling. But in this case Mr. L. is stinking out of his mouth. If the suggestion of foul play by Feyenoord is felt already a few years ago, then this shit head should have taken the route out of our gate and not profit from our education. He shows himself to be an opportunistic leach, complaining about years of wrong doing to young players but not leaving when he had still alot to learn. I hope this shit head never wears our colours anymore and fails where ever he lands.
