Artur Sobiech scores for Hannover in the 26 minute VfL Wolfsburg 0:2 Hannover 96 Felix do something!!!
Olic out, Orosco in also, it is turning into a rout, Artur Sobiech scores his second of the match in the 56th minute it is now Wolfsburg 0:4 Hannover 96 QUALIX MUST BE PISSED!!!
Robin Knoche gets his second yellow card, and has been ejected in the 65th minute FELIX MUST BE BOILING!!! He'll be in full Qualix mode tomorrow morning at 5:00 am
I don't know but right about now, speaking of puppets, even the late Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop or even (to rub salt into this wound) the Muppets could've played a better match than we did this morning, an unacceptable loss for us, hell even Kermit The Frog (or even Miss Piggy), Animal or The Great Gonzo could've had a bit (quite a bit) more spunk than the VfL defensive core did in this tilt this morning. You KNOW that ol' Felix Magath himself will be in full Qualix mode first thing tomorrow morning, and baby LOOK OUT!!! I would not want to be on the training pitch tomorrow when he shows up then.
I don't see how Wolfsburg has improved over last season, and ever since he went to Schalke Quälix is really not doing well anywhere anymore.
Correct on both counts. But Felix is his own worst enemy with this current Wolfsburg team. There's no way this team can gel quickly with Felix making moves so late. Also, if they keep getting hammered like this, they probably never will. BTW, Congrats man! Impressive hammering of Wolfsburg. We got to see it here.
Although I missed it thinking the match was not until tomorrow morning, I can report that we got a clean sheet in our match against FC Augsburg, but then again, so did FC Augsburg, as it wound up being a mere 0:0 draw for the VfL, but, at least we split the points, but coming off the bye week, and also off that pounding we took in our home opener against Hannover 2 weeks ago (0:4) on national TV, it was much expected that it would wind up being a bit flat like this. Matchday 3: FC Augsburg 0:0 VfL Wolfsburg
Good Read on Magath. It sounds like he has gone insane. He has made it impossible to follow the team.
He hasn't "gone insane." He's been there for quite awhile. People need to stop just thinking about 2009 when they rate Magath and consider his entire career......
I am starting to believe that 2008-09 squad's success had little to do with Magath. Between Dzeko, Misimovic, and Grafite (having a career best season), all Magath had to do was put together a competent defense.
That team only found "it" late in the season. That was a title no one in the Bundesliga seemed to want. It was a weird season. It is still one of the few seasons where I would argue the actual best team over the course of the season (Bayern) didn't win the title. That Wolfsburg side got hot at the right time and stayed hot. As late as match day 20, that Wolfsburg team was in 6th place, 7 points behind the then-leaders, Hertha BSC. I believe they took the lead on match day 26 with HSV as their closest competition and the race eventually being between Wolfsburg and Bayern. All this is not to say that Wolfsburg team didn't deserve the title. It did. They earned it. Magath stepped up as a leader when he needed to and it all worked out. However, this is also one of the few times he's done it in his career. Since he left HSV, including his time with Stuttgart, Felix's best coaching job might have been his work in 1997/1998 in the 2. Liga with 1. FC Nuernberg. Of course, that's just my opinion. I say this because I believe Felix has always been a better motivator than teacher/coach. I also have another theory about Felix. Because of his stubbornness and total authoritative style, I believe Felix always does better with a team of young players or unaccomplished veterans who will not question him. Felix needs a team of players who will run through a wall if he tells them to no questions asked. I believe Felix only succeeded at Bayern because that roster was just so much better than everyone else's at the time. He succeeded at Stuttgart because he had that team of young players who simply did what he told them to do. Same with his good season at Schalke. I do believe Felix gets too much credit for that one season in 2009. It isn't that the guy can't succeed. He can. I believe it is just that he needs every little thing to fall into place to succeed because he doesn't bring much to the table tactically. I believe that's what happened in 2008-2009. And if I were a Wolfsburg fan, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen again.........
