He's not that young. Who's saying that?

    Fabregas: Defense 6
    Cazorla: Defense 9

Cazorla is really important to our team defense the way he harasses the other team. I don't remember Fabregas doing half that job.

ive never heard anyone call him that. He isnt even close enough in height to call him that in a lazy fashion.

I do...he, Rosicky, Hleb used to pressure the midfield really nicely...and who can forget this:

Santi is awesome so far and he deserves all your accolades, but let's just not go overboard and revise what Cesc meant to this club while he was here.

you used one incident to show Fab pressuring the ball? it was not something he did much. That job was Flamini's and others.

Its early days to say Santi is better than Cesc, but he has the potential to be. He is a lot more careful with the ball than Cesc was for us.

and Cesc didnt win anything here, so meh.

Well, he's certainly better than fat unmotivated Cesc right now. I think we can all agree on that.

Santi has dipped a little bit since his early performances. Still good though, of course.

He had a few games where he looked tired and production fell a bit but Saturday's performance was perhaps his finest in an Arsenal shirt, he was immense.

    Agreed. I think Walcott is our best defense, when we are holding onto a 1 goal lead, provided he is playing off the last defender. A compact 5-3-2 seems to be perfect like we witnessed, at the end, against West Ham. For the last 10-15 minutes of games, with only the players available, we could lineup;

    ----walcott--giroud----
    --arteta--santi--ramsey--
    santos--tv5--mert--kos--cj
    -----------vito

podolski could also stay on the pitch, as a SS, in place of giroud.

The same way Arsene said Guy Demel could be the new Vieira when we signed him 12yrs ago?

Is'nt a lot of that because he's not shiny and new any more? Teams have had the chance to see him play a couple of games and so adjust their tactics to close him down with man marking. Some are better than others at it and we will see mixed good and great games from Santi all season imo

It's funny you should say that. I think he's the best. I don't think he's biased, and I don't think anyone lets the game flow as well as he does. Other than the 4-4 Newcastle match he's always treated us more than fairly.

Well, not the first time he injured himself scoring. In any case, if you forget how good he was for us just check out the 100's of youtube compilations to refresh your memory.

No, I love Cesc. I just thought it was an odd video choice. It reminds me of everything that was shit about that season.

There's not a single referee in the game that hasn't been swept up by a hostile home crowd into swinging a match. It's happened for us many more times than it has against us. That was a bad day but Abou Diaby didn't exactly make it easy on him/us.

Heh, that was exactly my first thought. Unfortunately that also started the spiral of our season that year.

Do they have a highlight reel of Cesc slacking on defense?
