Ok, I'm in, but need 2 AO tickets. Please any leads? Thought for sure we'd have the hex locked up by this game, damn u Nats!! Huge game, and my country needs me there.... Are the AO tix in that M1-M9 area?
If I wasn't in college, I'd be at this match. After Columbus' awesome crowd showing, KC you now have big shoes to fill!!!
Hey guys, just talked to AO KC and was told they have a lot of poles for 3x5 flags. Those that have been around for long time know that a few of us have organized flag buys for past games, especially USA/Mex in C-Bus. I think it would be awesome to do it again for the qualifier at LSP. It would be great if we could get the whole supporters end full of flags! All you have to do is bring your flags to the game and then we will gather at the tailgate and get them ziptied. The company we use has 3x5 polyester flags for as little as like $4 for a flag and have all kinds of historical US flags. Just make sure you buy the flags with grommets so that we can easily ziptie them. They ship quickly so if people get their orders in they will have no problem getting their flags before the game in two weeks. If you use offer code: testdrive you get like 10% off. I'm buying at least 10 myself
If you buy any flags post how many so we can have a rough count beforehand and know how many poles are needed.
Flying to KC for this. Thanks to AA's labor problems and Southwest's subsequent fare gouging to take advantage of them, we're flying home to DFW on Delta via Atlanta!
Last minute travel arrangements puts me in KC during the week of the game. Any leads on tickets, or am I relegated to stubhub, etc at this point?? Thx!
I'm also looking for one more if anyone has extra supporters section tix. I found 1 but need another. Thx guys. Karma awaits. Riotom9, let me know if you hear anything on your end.
Flying in early on the 16th and out early on the 17th. Can't wait to see LSP packed for this game! Any advice on some KC bbq???
Arthur bryants, original location near 18th and vine. Great bbq atmosphere, great meat, good sauce. Gates, any location. Best sauce hands down. Oklahoma joes, new kid on the block and all the rage. Dont even think about kc masterpiece.
Don't confuse with the one across the street from LSP doesn't have the same feel nor taste of the original from years of use like the original does.
Big thanks! That works perfectly, as I am going to spend the day at the National World War I museum and it isn't too far from there. Last question.....any idea on cost of parking for the game? I don't see it mentioned anywhere.
Can't charge for parking at the Legends, where the stadium is, it'll be free, although it'll be a cluster cause the lots normally used for Sporting games can't be used cause of NASCAR the next weekend
So you're saying I should get there EARLY? Any advice on time? Sorry, just don't want to have to park miles away. Thanks for all your help, might just have to pickup my BBQ for lunch and eat in the lot!!
Danger Will Robinson... for the out-of-towners, you don't actually park at "The Legends" (shopping center) or Cabelas/Nebraska Furniture Mart for a game. Even if those are closer to LSP than the official parking, have tempting spaces, and your car isn't slathered in soccer stickers, they'll still getcha. There will be signs. I'm sure the baseball stadium parking lot will be part of the plan if you want to plan. But, yeah, either early or a walk. Parking's always free at LSP but I regularly walk over a full 5,280-foot-mile from the far lots.
You'll very likely have a walk no matter where you park simply due to the layout of the area. I've heard parking will be spread out all over the Legends, I know that AO's tailgate is in the parking lot at Community America Ballpark, about a half mile from the stadium.
With the speedway lots shut down there will have to be parking at "The Legends" for all the cars that are coming in.
Any idea whether taxi service is an option? I have a hotel about two exits east of the stadium, and I'm considering leaving the car at the hotel and taking a cab back and forth because of the proximity and the parking snafu. Is that reasonable in this part of Kansas?
Everyone going to the match please encourage the people around you to stand up and go crazy as much as possible. Cheering and yelling and screaming the team on to victory. No one should be sitting for a game like this.
