looks like Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling have decided their International fate. How long before Nathaniel Dyer follows suit with his run of fine form for Swansealona.

After that horrid performance against the USA, I don't blame Sterling. Way too good to play such inferior tactics.

Just based on one game you're calling Whitmore's tactics "inferior"? Sure, that display in Columbus was poor and Jamaica should have lost by a couple of goals but to be fair the game in Kingston was much better and so far he's done reasonably good job as coach, I think. No?

Well his tactics were inferior in that match, no?

6 wins in the last 16 matches in year time frame isn't great, especially given that we've only played 3 tough teams in the span. We were absolutely poor against Antigua and quite bland against Guatemala. And this is far from the first time I've seen the players play like they were shackled.

Last years Gold Cup was the last time I saw Jamaica playing up to their potential. Even in the loss to the US in the quarters, I thought we definitely had more thrust in our game.

I wanna see Jamaica make it through!!! I wanna see how they fare with the rest of their UB-40s!!

right now would be a good time to call-up Niles Ranger..a big forward whose been shunned by Newcastle due to his behavior.. won't play another senior game with Newcastle.. free time for Jamaica.

I was not even exited about the win against the US. I'm glad we won but I think the US is overrated.
We should've beaten them years ago. Our players weren't as professional as they are now. With a handful UBS40s we should be right behind or on par with Mexico in concacaf. So mi sey.

I want King,Beckford,Hoilett,Mcnuff,Nathan smith and Humphreys. To go along with Austin,Shelton, nugsy, mapps, peelhead and few others from the US games.

I talk to Nathan quite frequently, he just hasn't heard a word from the JFF.

McNuff would be a HUGE addition, our midfield should be the paciest with his addition

No way King is coming back. Beckford is decent but doesn't really seem interested and his goals have started to dry up over the past year or so anyway. Hoilett and McAnuff have still not declared themselves available, Smith is playing in League Two. Humphrey is the only likely one (maybe Hoilett or McAnuff will jump on the bandwagon for the Hex) though we'll see if Tappa forgives him.

I believe reading is dead last in the EPL standings right now. If they're still their come october I should think Mcnuff would answer the call up for a more immediate challenge.

I can be comfortable with Mattocks as our center forward as long as we add McNuff,Hoilett and Humphrey in the mids.

Southampton are dead last with 0 points, Reading are just above with 1, I think.
Why would you need three wingers? Also, they'll need someone better than an MLS striker to get through the Hex.

No Pratley to control the mid??? Possibly try and get Kyle Bartley to sure up the back??

Last I've heard Hoilett is leaning towards Canada, but anything can change. heh.

I never said that all three were going to be on the pitch at the same time. You can also add Darren Pratley to the mix. We shall see what the young (Drogba) Mattocks has in store for the future.

JFF heads to UK in search of players BY DANIA BOGLE Staff Reporter JamaicaObserver

    Monday, October 29, 2012

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) president Captain Horace Burrell, national senior team coach Theodore Whitmore and his assistant Alfredo Montesso head to the United Kingdom on Thursday on a two-week mission to scout for players to bolster the Reggae Boyz line up for the final phase of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

The JFF hierarchy will watch five games in the UK and meet with nine new players with Jamaican roots, as well as hold meetings with several other players who have already been part of the national line up, including Ricardo Fuller.

The nine players are Swansea winger Nathan Dyer; Reading midfielder Jobi McAnuff, defender Shaun Cummings, and winger Garath McCleary, Queen’s Park Rangers winger David Hoilett, Huddersfield Town striker Jermaine Beckford, Derby County striker Theo Robinson, Newcastle right-back Danny Simpson, and his team-mate, defender James Perch.

The JFF trio will begin their mission a day after arriving in England when they watch the Swansea game against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
