Still don't really understand the timing of the loan... it was a month between the Agudelo trade and the start of the transfer window, they couldn't have held on to him as an option just until they could pursue other options?

Hertzog is making 103K that don't count against the CAP, next year will be 108/110K and will be payed by the CAP if.... So Backe have not intentions of keeping him, that is why he send him over there to if have a good stay and make good grades, and try to sale him or at least have a trade for him for something....But the general idea is, that he will not coming back next year with RBNY....

I don't think it definitely means he'll be shipped out, he could easily have been loaned out because they felt the playing time in USL was more valuable than just training with the first team. Or maybe they're prepping him to ship out, who knows, either way the timing of the loan makes no sense.

Would have been nice if he got a chance and maybe had a "Lade" or Barkladge" run at forward. We'll never know now.

What I will love to see is Barka as a RW, I think that 50% of our problem at front will be resolved with this move.... Barka have a effective shut with both legs much better than Richards, Solli, McCarty, Lindpere, Ballouchy and Tainio and beside all those qualities, no body have those centers like him, a
    Lindpere....New CAM....Barklage
    Will be something to see....

The ideal place for Barka is RW, he will be 100% better option than Richards and Solli....With this move you will resolve 50% of the problems we have at front with a lot of passes and centers from the right and with a CAM and Lindpere at left, will be a something to see....

Except we have zero other suitable right backs, you're willing to sacrifice a rock solid defender on that side to get some better crosses? Not worth it if you ask me, especially since that side generally has the weaker of our CB's to pair with. We shouldn't be relying on crosses anyway considering none of our attackers are good in the air.

Well, I will ask you something: ......With Holgerslush, Marquez, Conde and Pearce on hand, do you think that Backe will live one of this players out to play Barka?.... I don't think so.... Lade, Barka, Ruthven, Keel and Miller will go to warm the Bench, have that for sure..... So, instead of that, I will love to see him playing RW.....

Yes, I do think that. If those four guys are healthy, Marquez will move up into the midfield. If Conde, Pearce, and Holgersson are all healthy to play defense Lade will still get plenty of minutes as a midfield sub.

Ruthven is going to struggle for minute for the rest of the season, but I hope he understands that he's still a very young CB and sticks around for awhile.

Well, I will say that with the Wizard as a coach any stupid move is posible, but play Narquez in midfielder isn't not just stupid, that is a suicide and lost the chance for the MLS CUP all over again... The only game that I see rafa play like professional was at RB the other day and will be stupid bring him back as Center Midfielder.... Beside you will have to feal very happy having a defense roster with:
    Holgerslush....Marquez....Conde.....Pearce
    Lade.................Keel......Ruthven....Miller

Is a shame that our coaches don't give chance to this young players, I'm a believer that practices are to plan strategic plays for coming games only and not to develop players. ....The youngsters beside practices need to play really games and not five minutes or ten, you have to play them for 30 or more minutes at the time and in successive games, five six of them at least to evaluate they potential; on the contrary you are not given them any chance, because if you play them five minutes today and five minutes the next month, what happen is that when they come to the field are nervous like hell because they don't know how the coach appreciate they participation if he only give them those sporadic and minor interventions....And like that, they never will develop they game; no mater the repertory of tools they have....

Probably not, but when your other option off the bench is Le Toux then that's not much of a problem. I don't think anybody figured Hertzog would play much of a role, if any this season once he was sent on loan, the real question is whether or not he'll be around next year if the club has to pay his salary.

In a salary capped league there's usually not much room on the roster for keeping guys who may be something something special 3-4 years down the line, but Backe and Soler obviously see at least something in the kid if they sent him on loan instead of waiving him. Hopefully he steps it up and is ready to contribute more off the bench next season.

I'm glad they loaned him out and he got the playing time. Like was said previously, hopefully he can stick around as a 3rd or 4th striker. I think that has a good chance of happening if his GA status is intact.
