Because he missed one? I don't see what Oduro would add or fix right now. The team looked great up until the first goal, and started to look good again at the end of the half. Biggest problem is the turnovers in our defensive third and the midfield. Toronto playing a very high pressure system, and its leading to a lot of mistakes. Not sure how to fix that, but it sure isn't taking off MacDonald, who is our only hope for ever holding up any of the long balls we have been playing out of the back.
Hope for a few more Fire goals to make up some of the difference in goals scored compared to Houston and NY and to widen the lead over KC.
MacDonalds team understanding is far better than I have ever seen from Oduro. He is constantly paying 1-2s with Rolfe, Flaco, and Nyarko. Oduro may be better individually, and more likely to score goals, but the team becomes completely one-dimensional with him on the field. The only strategy is hit the ball over top for Oduro, let him shoot. There is no chance for any of the midfield to join in the attack, becuase all Oduro can do is run straight at net, he can't hold it up and let an attack build.
MacDonald is pissed to be subed out.... Alex needs to be getting minutes not Thompson, Alex should of been put in there instead of Thompson...
Actually when he came on against Santos in the 2nd half, he played a much more complete game and was mixing it up with the midfield nicely.
STOP THE PRESS! Frank just subbed off a d-mid and put on an attacking mid. He also used all three subs without putting on another defensive mid. Who is this man and what has he done with our coach?
