I need someone to explain to me how Jermaine Jones is a USA player.

When will you learn that your athleticism is nothing without the ball?? Smh

Humiliating loss. Klinsmann may very well make history by failing to qualify this team for the first time since '86.

Hopefully we use this as a reality check for both the players and Jurgen. At this point I would rather see Landon in crutches on the field then most of these players. Missing out on qualifying would be a disaster for us. Especially after not qualifying for the Olympics.

I'm waiting for the Mexican faithful to start trolling. It's not like they have better things to do.

My point is that I posted last weekend that we were going to lose 2-1 to Jamaica because the squad called in didn't have any players with any creativity. JK played a lineup that had three defensive midfielders, an out of shape Dempsey, an out of position Gomez, and an out of form Altidore.

The offense was HORRIBLE. We scored because of pure luck, and we created basically nothing the rest of the game against Jamaica. If this is what we look like without just two players, we aren't as good as we think.

Stay for the Argentina replay or watch a European league match. Different video quality.

My feeling about the game since squad was announced was correct,

If they needed two goals for a result, they weren't going to get it.

We can play with no more than 2 d mids. D Williams as a dmid and Spector or Cameron Thats it
Jones and Becks should be reserves. Edu should not be on the squad

We lost to a below average soccer nation which is sad. Say what you want but the Jamaicans never looked good in the attack and we looked worse. I am not panicking but oy vey, the US losing to Jamaica in anything except for the 100 & 200m dash or cricket is absolutely shameful!

Congrats. I'm so glad the result you predicted was successful. Yay to you. So glad the US lost. Go pat yourself on the back. Throw a party. Hope you enjoyed watching our national team lose.

I want to hear Klinsmann's excuses, they should be good for a laugh or two.

i didn't comment during the game cause i would have nothing to add than the overreaction common on this thread, but you gotta hand it to the jamaicans. they pressed, closed down space, and owned the midfield (and possession)

I hope Jurgen knows that 3 d-mids are great for sitting back and squeaking out results, but we showed no initiative and they took it to us. Edu, Jones, Jozy...they should be ashamed of their performance tonight

He was not the only reason we lost tonight. Far from it. He participated. But not the only.

Something about being a starting midfielder for the 3rd best team in the Bundesliga.

We've played more than our fair share of lousy games the last three years or so, but this one.....only the Gold Cup had a worse match.
Jamaica is a solid enough team, and losing to them was always a possibility, but we played like brainless clodhoppers trying to save energy for the dance with the gal on the weekend.

The broadcast was obviously aimed to a Jamaican audience. We're just eavesdropping.

can't understand how we played a midfield consisting of 4 D-mids the majority of the game, and somehow still couldn't open up space for johnson to overlap once in a while? we played SO many terrible lofted crosses and square balls, shape was atrocious, and we're not putting any pace on our passes; we can't dream of keeping possession if we don't move the ball faster, and can't get in the right position to keep it moving...

He had a big consulting job deciding that kinda stuff for Toronto FC, right? Well, at least he righted that ship.
