I'm renewing my license plates and am again pained to see no FC Dallas option. I emailed the club a few years back and inquired as to why this was not an option as was told it was controlled by the State and out of the club's control. I would assume there is more to it than that... Does anyone have any insight into why there is a Houston Dynamo and Ft Worth Cats license plate but no FCD?? http://www.txdmv.gov/vehicles/license_plates/plate.htm?id=pro
Seems I have found my own answer... Would love to see the FO take on getting a tag created!! http://ftp.txdmv.gov/pub/txdot-info/vtr/slp_brochure.pdf
When I first saw the title of this thread I thought to myself, "finally, I've wanted one of these for awhile." Then I read the contents. I don't know why I ever bother to think differently. Pathetic.
I literally thought they were available now. I was about to call my parents and brother to get them. My car still has Texas plates. I want them. And the Cats have them? Not fair.
It is particularly ridiculous when I see Texas license plates with LSU or South Carolina (both of which I've recently seen on the Tollway) logos.
It really all starts at the top. They don't live and breathe FC Dallas and it shows and permeates the whole club. Don't feel too bad. Liverpool is into their second American ownership group of the same type and they feel their owed like Cowboys fans. At FCDallas Burn we don't expect much and that's pretty much what we get.
True, but if they registered the plate through the non-profit FC Dallas Foundation and had their proceeds from plate sales go to their charity, they could get their $4600 deposit returned after 500 plates were sold. Win-win! Whoever petitions the club about plates should bring up this fact.
Next time ... don't low-ball your targetted purchase because of his nation of origin. £3M was a slap in the face offer for Dempsey.
Doesn't make much sense, you'd think the American owners would want one of the USA's #1 players on their club but who knows? I don't think Dempsey would made that much of a difference, but I guess we'll see.
I'm not sure he would have either (Dempsey isn't a true striker per se) but loaning out ACarroll before the new forward was signed doesn't seem that smart as well, especially if there were no conditions placed to pull him back ASAP. Rodgers and the owners dropped the ball on that one.
