San Jose just announced section and price. I was wondering if their Supporters Section will be GA or not.

With everything else equal, does having the Supporters Section as GA improve the atmosphere?

No, that was pc4th from Seattle...
wait... You mean to tell me this is the same guy and he now claims the Timbers as his team? Wonder if he is still living in Seattle...

Of course, how's that even a question.

I'd give my left nut for those ticket prices :p

All I know is, those ticket prices, like ours ($250 for season tix  ) are outrageously low and taking advantage of it now before they skyrocket will be the best thing you guys ever do. Nothing beats front row for $15 a game.

As far as the GA affecting the atmosphere, if you guys have different groups, they will get it sorted out (see Houston). Most, if not all the people in those sections understand the deal within a couple games even if they aren't affiliated with an SG.

This question was a thread within the last year. If you use search you should be able to find your answer.

The Screaming Eagles went GA last season here in DC. I was ambivalent about it originally but, frankly, I haven't seen any real difference. The only real advantage is that it's easier to sit together if you have people who only come to games occasionally.

It probably has an effect on attendance. Timbers Army is a GA section, and most teams do as well. I think every team but the Whitecaps have the supporters section as GA.

Not true, Section 101 at RBA isn't GA, but we sorta treat it as such, especially when it's the same people you see every home match.

I wouldn't retreat into your bombshelter just yet. When we lose Vevo5, and Damian6 begins to post in Bigsoccer, the apocalypse won't be far behind. Until then, just roll with it brother.

    This.
I have technically had the same seat in 101 since RBA opened, but I have only ever been there once. Just to say it was mine first.

The impact just released their 2013 season ticket prices and updated seating map and the GA supporters section doubled in size.
    http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/2013-season-tickets-renewal/stadium-plan-prices
The new section was previously technically a "supporters section" but had assigned seating. The change proves that there is value there. At $295 they are leaving money on the table, as the adjacent section goes for $385.

PS. what do you think of our prices?

$295 for a supporters ticket is slightly more than $280 in San Jose for an equivalent 2013 ticket.

has the SJ FO been working with 1906 ultras and casbah in regards to the supporters section(s)? have the supporters had any input into stadium design?

The fact the club work closely with the ultras means they arent ultras at all.

Does Toronto have a Supporters Section?

Searching for Toronto FC Seating Chart 2012 come up with No Supporters Section at all.

I believe they are primarily in 112-118, although there are (or were in better days) other pockets throughout the stadium. Visitor support is at the top of 104.

Will the supporters section be a terrace so that they could do the "avalanche" after a goal ?
