Would there be ever any change of Henry/Red Sox/Liverpool taking on the Rev's and having some of the games played at Fenway before and after baseball season? And when baseball is on, play at Harvard. Both would be in the urban core of the city. Ownership aside, this could be a solution until a true SSS can be built somewhere.
Harvard kinda sucks. It would be interesting for a one off game, but it wouldn't work for an entire season. Fenway wouldn't work during the baseball season. I'm not sure the suggested scenario is any better than the current scenario. If Harvard stadium had seats (or even benches), it would be different.
What about Alumni Stadium? Forgive me for my ignorance, but stadium issues aside, would FSG be interested?
NE is the most successful team in SuperLiga, with 1 Championship and 1 Ruuners-up to its name... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_SuperLiga#By_club
That and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. Seriously, if New England's pride is a win in the SuperLiga, that's beyond sad. ------RM
Anyone who hopes for another town's team to move is king of a jerk, IMHO. Kraft is the problem, not Revs fans.
Has anyone ever considered Nickerson Field as a temporary measure or talked to BU about it? Seems to me if the Quakes can play for a half dozen years at Buck Shaw the Revs would be fine doing the same at a stadium that is already as big as Buck Shaw currently. And Nickerson has room around it to put temporary bleachers on the other 3 sides to fit at least the Rev's average attendance the last 3 years. And it's fairly centrally located right off the T's Green Line and the Mass Pike.
-Its artificial turf -There's very little room for stands on any side unless you cover the track -The green line is slow a f***
