Lol at people choosing Chivas. Chivas are at best middle table team. Tijuana fan but i got to say either Pumas or Pachuca.

    Why is it funny?

Everyone knows that trying to pick a winner in the Mexican league is a crapshoot because the league is so unpredictable. That's what's fun about it.

Chivas has as much chance as anyone else at this time of winning it. Chivas has made significant changes since last season and I don't think you (or anyone for that matter) can make a fair assessment of the league after this first weekend.

Too many coaches, too inconsistent. They ended up top of the table a couple of tourneys ago and then they just give up. The team is young and won't be able to compete with teams that have chemistry such as Monterrey and Tigres. I agree that the Mexican league is fun because it's an equal playing field. But Chivas is the same story every season they bring in a coach, they fire him half way through. Then "el regano" (plata a los albitros) de Velgara to the whole team and they start winning a couple of games. Good Mexican talent on the team but a lot of holes. Liborio should be goalkeeping not Michel.

Believe me I would like Chivas to qualify over teams like Monterrey, Santos, Tigres since I'm sick and tired of their crap and I dont want the league to become a liga de tres like it is in Germany but the following will qualify before Chivas:

    [not in any order]
    America
    Cruz Azul
    Monterrey
    Santos
    Tigres
    Tijuana
    Pumas
    Pachuca
    Toluca
    Morelia
    Leon
    Atlas

having a league similarr to the germany would be better than league where a team can suck for most of the season then hit a winning streak in the liguilla. Although recently the teams who have done in the reg season have won it, so that's good.

I will be rooting for los xolos but I see either Pachuca or Tigres winning. But as someone already said anything can happen in liga mx, crazy unpredictability. maybe even santos wins again :D

Toluca is a serious candidate? I think not.

Toluca should definitely be a candidate based on stats alone. Statistically speaking, since the change into the small tournament format, Toluca has won seven championships. So that comes out to an average of roughly one championship every two and a half years, or one every five tournaments. They haven't won since the bicentenario so they might be due...also they're on a 5 game win streak.
