I had Brazilian friends claiming a 4-1 victory, and to prepare for a "nightmare." For winning 5 wc's...chill out. No Mexican claims dominance over Brazil, its just nice to have worthy competition (as opposed to some CONCACAF opponents), and to gain respect.

Clearly not here on BS Brazil subforums so that's rather irrelevant. Trash-talking among personal friends is another thing entirely.

As Ombak said, the BigSoccer Brasileiros didn't trash talk Mexico before the match. Your compatriots came here trash-talking, and they're still doing so in that "gringo" thread on your forums (which I have now graced with my presence).

Well Saturday's match was a disaster. For the whole tournament our defense was weak and the 4-3-3 is not working. Mano needs to go he has no capital left in him. Every match at the Copa America was a disaster waiting to happen. This Olympics was terrible. We need to bring in a coach who is disciplinarian, tough and has good judgement. I mean our defense was weak already and he took out Sandro to bring in PATO!!!! He does not know how to make a good substitute, does not call up the right players. Mano is not the guy. All I know is Juan,Rafael,Romulho.Sandro will never play for the national team ever again.

The problem with Dunga was that he had little coaching experience and it showed. Dunga needs to coach a European team or a domestic team to give him experience.. My short list to replace Mano is

Luxemburgo: He coached that amazing copa america team in '99 and was a great coach. He can still do it and would be perfect for this team.

Muricy: He knows Neymar and knows how to use him.

Tite:Reminds me of a cross of Scolari and Dunga. Corinthians won the Libertadores and have a strong team. He will know how to use our teams strength and minimize its weakness plus he is a strong disciplinarian.

In all the good news is that this is not our full squad. Mexico played very very well. They deserved to win it and we have alot of work to do. It is time to use the 3-5-2 because Oscar needs help he can't do it all the work in the midfield. If we lose to Sweden then it is time for mano to get sacked. Do you guys trust hims in a quarterfinal or semifinal match at the world cup? Under him we lost to France,Germany,Argentina,Mexico. These are teams will may face in a quarterfinal, round of 16,semifinal or final. If we can;t beat them in a friendly then we may face national humiliation. And my biggest peeves with Mano is how he put in Lucas Moura at the 87th minute!!! If he stays as coach for 2014 it will be a disaster in the wc IN 2014.

Selection of players was his biggest hit for '99 , he had only about 6 players from abroad all top caliber . The rest where from the domestic league ( none from Fluminense  ) . They where a joy to watch, and the team grew with every game they played.

Just a friendly reminder that what people post here is in no way representative of what Mexican fans think or feel towards Brazil. I felt your last post was a little harsh, precisely because it failed to make this distinction. Also, I certainly wouldn't argue that Mexico is all of a sudden a WC title contender after winning the olympic gold, but I think you went a little too far by asserting that this is the only title that Mexico will win for a while. Not only was that uncalled for, it is also highly speculative. We simply don't know.

Why don't you take your time to publically criticize the Mexicans that came on here offending and gloating like children after the game, before you try to lecture Century's Best? Is it less offensive that he makes a comment based on Mexican history so far ever since your federation started (that you don't/haven't been able to get past Quarters) or that someone there swears at his mother and the moderator calls him out, but is okay with multiple other posters saying he is "butthurt"?

Really, enjoy this because apart from that unfortunate decision 30 seconds into the match and that dodgy free-kick, your team did nothing apart from reacting (playing a defensive mid on the right wing to negate our left side), bunkering and trying to counter. How much more room for improvement do you think your team has (rhetorical, don't reply)? Keeping in mind that we played our worse match of the tournament, completely unorganized and had your own half for 2/3 of the game and could have scored down to the final second.

Another thing is: go play the victim to someone who gives a f-ck about the feelings of your countrymen or who cares about your shitty football, because honestly I don't think anyone here does. I know I don't and that I personally hate your people because of the annoying behavior, hostility, sketchiness, and lack of respect I've run into at sporting events either personally or involving Brazil and Mexico. And I do hope that we start considering you to be a "rival" (like Argentina) and start taking every match against you seriously, to bring you down to earth, without ever taking a B team, so that we can make your NT and countrymen suffer deeply, and then maybe you'll realize where you truly stand in relation to us (look at the fifa head-to-head stats in "a" team matches for an idea). At least this generation will have it in for your NT for the rest of their playing careers, I'm sure, and I can't wait until they mature.

Honestly, I don't think this topic is going anywhere anymore, the Olympics are gone... Maybe it's time to bury it.

Not a Mod, but here is my 2 cents.
In the US Men's forum, a thread for a particular game is ususally closed by the Mods immediately following the game, then a new thread is opened by the Mods for the post game discussion of that particular game, and about a week later, that post game discussion thread is closed.

Completely oposite of my experience . I've lived in Brazil and have nothing but fond memories of the Brasilian people, their culture and work ethic.

The " hate your people " part , which is as ugly as it can get , is way over the top .
Reminds me of the USA fans that casually find hate towards an opponent that has beat them by uncovering a weakness in their system like Gahna.

This thread does need to be closed , it's a shame ......

Yeah, I get it, you are dumb and have a lazy, juvenile sense of humor.

Pancho, your branding my reaction and feelings toward Mexicans as over the top and trying to compare to U.S fans who "casually hate" others for uncovering flaws in their system and ignoring my entire post , while ignoring is what is condescending and over the top. Look at the behavior of your countrymen on here and in that gringo thread first and take your time to say the same to them, before you try to lecture me. The thread was fine and on track before Mexican posters came in.

I try not to generalize. As you well know not all Brasileiros are the same and likewise not all Mexicans are the same. We have idiots who post stupidity as well as everyone else.
I usually don't respond to someone that posts stupidity (e.g. eduar ditto) . But your post made me cringe when you said that you hate mexicans because of the way you've been treated at games.

I would be willing to bet that you have never been to a Brasil Mexico game . I have been to several and its usually a festive atmosphere . One team wins and another looses and we all walk together out of the park still in a festive mood . I myself have played Brasilian teams in Brasil , and it's never the way you mentioned in your thread . I don't know you but its obvious that you have been influenced by the US way too much . Tranquilo e um jogo

Thread closed. If anyone wants to start a Rio 2016 thread, feel free to add it. But, let's try to put the London final to rest.
