my vapor 8 hurt my toe alot, i think iam gonna get a black toe, but i don't think the boots is too small, how can i resolve this issue? should i soak it? how to i stretch it? i have worn it 3 times by the way. pls help.
What you have to do is pick them up take them to the bin and place them in. Then go out and buy a quality pair of k-leather boots. That will cure the bad toe situation.
i pr i prefer the VII because its has 4 studs at the back, that 2 studs in the VIII is not a good idea. all just to reduce the weight of the boot. and dont use the VIII on turf.
I love the VIIIs, they're top class boots. Is it just me that's slightly disappointed that Nike are bringing out the IXs so soon? I think they have really nailed the VIIIs, and they're completely redesigning them only a year after they're released!
I was looking around on the Internet and came across this Nike patent from last year. It's too bad that patents are published a year and half after they are filed because they completely spell out what the manufacturers are working on. We need more patent leaks on future products. Kind of long and very technical look at the current mercurial sole plate... http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20120180343.pdf I'd like to find the sense stud patent to see how Nike explained that one!
Good shout actually. That may be a possibility. Although Nike do seem to have fixed any problems with the Seaweed Vapors.
So I accidently pure acetones my CTR elites, while cleaning them to put on ebay, only i didnt realise it was pure acetone. So I started rubbing the scuffs off...along with the retro colour at the back of the boot. Now They are a mess and im going to black them out completely. Anyone used dylon dyes before? heres the damage...
my team are sponsored by Nike, we cant wear other products, what other Nike boots is good for a fast player?
^ aha, best post I've seen in a while. In his fairness, it's probably down to the marketing which a lot of companies do so well (Nike!). I used to be similar- believing that Vapors were the best. However, recently I've been wearing a lower tier of Mizuno Morelia (Morelia Club) and surprisingly they are my favorite boots, and have held up better than my Vapor VIII's, adipures, & adizeros let alone being half the price! mizuno are actually my favourite brand now. I tried on a pair of copa's the other day too and no wonder theyve been in production so long! Cannot wait to get my pair. Just my 2c's on how the boot industry market so well.
I'm aiming to! I'm just not sure what the go is with Rakuten and dosoccer, especially with deliveries to Aus. Love mizuno though, and leather boots in general now. I've been lurking here for a while but only just got into Mizuno. On topic -On the VIII's- I didnt like the new sole plate. The back two were fine, but after about an hour I get crazy stud pressure on my big toe, especially the joint. To me, the simple conical stud config's are the best. Just my opinion!
Could you not just take the rest of the green off with the acetone? Looking at your pic, looks like the leather/material is black underneath. Never done any custom colours but from what ive read from users in the custom thread you would need to strip the colour off with acetone before adding a dying product anyway. In terms of the dylon, only issue i think you may have with it would be it running. You may need an extra sealer to lock in the colour
hey guys I need yur help! I am about to start playing again since my cruciate ligament tear 9months ago and of course I need some new boots...what soleplate could you recommend to me? because I was wearing mv superflys when I got injured and the doctor said that the studs could be the reason for why I tore the ligament...
Yeah I have bad knee's and visited my doctor the other week, he advised me to wear conical studs due to stress on the knee, which is the reason I've ordered two pairs of Tiempo elite's.
Anyone compared the original mv8 upper to the clash ones, any significant difference between the two? Also any news re laser v???
A word of warning...you can't think of conical stud plates as complete protection from ACL and other knee injuries. They do have less bite on the playing surface which might help, but my first cruciate tear was in Copas, my second was in Sambas and I've done fine in blades since then. Knock on wood. I'm not a physician but I feel that developing muscle strength around the the knee and working on flexibility and balance are more crucial than sole plate selection.
If i dont get the GS Next wednesday ill be getting the seaweed vapors so i can compare them to the sail/red vapors However, im sure there was a review on here a few pages back
I blacked out my vapors v's with dylon black leather dye. I applied two or three coats and i have to say they are holding up very well after 30+ sessions. The only downside being the dylon is rather streaky in places (admittedly probs my poor painting skills) and is chipping of on the shiny side of the boot (large swoosh area). Because the boots were initially purple they still have retained a purplish sheen to them when worn outside.. they still look black but when its sunny they a bit strange. My copas on the ther hand look amazing after being blacked out, the dylon isnt streaky at all and seems to stick to boot much better. With the ctr being kanga lite i imagine you will get results much along the same lines as ive experienced with my copas..
