There were a couple of rips since it got slightly damaged after the rainstorm following the Chicago game this past wednesday. Biggest one is underneath the "A" in "HEART". Also, not sure why 102 took down their table rolls. it was supposed to be almost corner flag to corner flag. Typical. Here's a vid of the Tifo, plus the 1st couple of minutes of the match.
Well if Detroit is posting photos, I guess I'll post some from the Desert Cup and FC Tucson's first season in the PDL.
Ft. Lauderdale peeps full of wit (in reference to the current Tampa Bay kits having a star that is for the 1975 Soccer Bowl Champions)
(Note for the second picture. The Pricks are not in the stands. That's because of FC Tucson's reentry policy.)
As it relates somewhat SJ fanatics had a banner clear for YOUR favorite commissioner: Garber, it's a gift to have fans and with that comes some respect. Whatever it is, something is brewing in this league. The supporter summit at MLS CUP 2012 better be more than just tiddlywinks
Its actually because its half-time, and most of us are drinking in the parking lot. But I've been told that the MLS won't have a supporters summit this year (or at least not at the MLS Cup).
Montreal had something today in French, I could only make out the words "passion" "no" and "dollar" on TV.
I was at Toronto and LA, and 99.9% of the stuff asked from the participants at these summits were retarded You Be the Don thread-worthy questions. I was kind of hoping last year's summit would have had a substantive airing out of the dispute between the Revs supporters clubs and security and the front office, instead we were treated to barrage after barrage of dipshits complaining about and arguing with Don about the new unbalanced schedule. --- I have a question for Dallas supporters: What was up with that line of rent-a-fan drummers you had on the field in front of the supporter section? I think I'd prefer cheerleaders to those type of gimmicks, quite honestly. They sucked and drowned out any chanting. Any chance you can make life miserable for those guys so they go the way of the Zardmeister?
"Passion before the dollar, red bull kills football" That's basically the translation. Along with printouts handed out to people walking into the stadium before the game explaining how terrible red bull's influence is on the sport, whitewashing the history of teams in austria, germany and the united states, foot business, etc.
They've been there the last 3 or 4 home games, and honestly there isn't a hole lot of chanting going on during most games for them to drown out. The inferno seems pretty much dead since they moved over to behind the goal. The Dallas Beer Guardians (who sit behind said drumline) seem to be much more motivated/loud, and the other group DFE does a better job attempting to heckle away team players warming up then making much of an atmosphere.
I read somewhere else that the FO actually brought them in to drown out the beer garden somewhat, to avoid bad language being heard around the stadium. NO idea if that is true. I sometimes sit in the beer garden, but usually in 101, which is just around the corner. I like the drums, it certainly adds to the atmosphere. The fact is in Dallas the people who want to sing and chant are very much in the minority. most people want to sit on their hands (except for when they are stuffing their faces) and many actually dislike any sort of noise/singing and will move to be away from anyone who shouts/stands up/sings anything. Kills the atmosphere.
In response to Don Garber's recent condescending public statement: "It's a gift to be a fan of a club, and with that comes some responsibility." http://www.cleveland.com/columbus-crew/index.ssf/2012/07/mls_commissioner_don_garber_sp.html
