Do we only have scouts in Bermuda? Or, more likely, tfc is relying on their players to do the scouting for them and this was a reggie lamb recommendation.

hmm, yeah a third goal keeper should definitely be our top priority when we only have one striker

At the same time, are you really comfortable with an 18-year-old as a backup?

not really, but I'm also not comfortable relying on RJ as our only striker. Kocic is probably least likely player on the team to get injured. Also Roberts has been the backup since the beginning of the season when Frei got injured. They could have decided then to bring in an experienced backup, but they went with Roberts instead. And that was back when playoffs were still a reasonable goal for the season. This all strikes me as doing patchwork even though the season is already gone. They should be working to make the team better for next year, not worrying about the possibility of something shitty happening this year when the season is completely lost. It's not like we're in a relegation battle.
Next year our GK situation will look like:
    1)Kocic
    2)Frei
    3)Roberts
there's no reason to add a third choice GK to make Roberts the fourth choice

This has actually been reported somewhere else before Koevs. got hurt. I think when Kosic went down badly a couple of games ago and Roberts ALMOST came in, the call went out for a third goal keeper.
I'm betting Frei was going to be trade bait this year anyways, until his injury came up.

I completely agree that RJ-Wideman with MakuBOOYAH as backup is a downright terrible strike force but I don't trust an 18-year old, even if he does provide an extra scoring threat :p. And I don't see what makes Kocic the least likely player to be injured. Even if he is somehow the least likely, injuries happen to everyone. Can't take that for granted
TFC were trying to ship Frei off last off-season and I wager they still want to trade him. That's always the hunch I've made. If he does end up being part of the plans for the future like you said, then yeah, you're right, 4 goalkeepers is useless
I wouldnt mind signing this guy for absolute minimum wage (32k). It should allow us the flexibility to also cover for our forwards. And even if we do keep Frei, we can still just keep this Freddy Hall guy until the end of 2012. Or just sign someone from the goalkeeper pool

But yes, depth defenders and forwards that can stay at TFC for 2013 and beyond should be priority #1

TFC should have tried to acquire Bill Gaudette. He wouldn't have cost a fortune (NYRB traded a supplemental pick for him) and is somewhat experienced (albeit most of it in the 2nd division).

i highly doubt a healthy Frei and Kocic will both stay on TFC. one will move on.

Sorry, some wounds are too deep. NO. WAY. IN. HELL! Mark that.

Booing Bill Gaudette is an inalienable right of all TFC supporters.
