2 days rest and then 2 injury subs is too much to overcome.

Now it's going from a loss to a debacle in the history books.

    Ask that to Di Natale.

Prandelli got it all wrong today. I can understand not going back to the 3-5-2 because they've played 4 in the back for 4 straight games but Chiellini as LB against the pace of Spain is criminal. Flat out criminal.

There should be some rule that you can make an extra sub if a player gets injured up until a certain time in the match. It's a joke really.

Scoreline flatters them. The Motta sub/ injury killed the game. Still a great tournament and definately something to build on.

Then teams would fake injury and makes subs. This is what happens when you make the last sub so early. Wasn't even necessary since we were back in the match if only Di Natale could finish.

Prandelli's biggest mistake this tournament is not having enough faith in Nocerino really. I knew we would be dog tired on 2 days rest. The midfield needed more bite. He should have used some fresh legs out there.

Italy played like crap. How in the **** are you going to even think about winning a championship if you can't score or for that matter, take a hot on goal? Italy played horribly. Hats off to Spain!

    True 3 time champions!

No shame in this. Italy had a great tournament, and a lot of our players acquitted themselves well. We came out and tried to play with Spain...now you see why most teams park the bus! Credit to them, Xavi, iniesta, Xabi, silva, and cesc are some of the most technical midfielders in the world, and all 5 play in the same midfield and in sync is just too much. Plus alba is a little terror down the flank. Credit to Spain, one of the best teams ever.
