Hey guys, im an Aussie travelling to London from April 20th til June, I doubt I have a chance to get a ticket to a match, but thought id leave a message here anyway and ask.
Wondering if someone could help me with some advice on how I would go about getting a single ticket to the Arsenal game against Man City in Manchester on September 22. Going to Europe for 3 weeks for my 30th anniversary and will be in London from September 20-26 and as luck would have it Arsenal plays in Manchester. I am a huge Arsenal fan and have never seen them play live and my wife said I am welcome to travel to watch them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try AWIMB. That's how I got my ticket to the Etihad last December. It will sell out way before red members (probably Gold+TC 10+ credits).
I'm going to London for the first time in September and visiting the stadium, in addition it also happens to be the City v Arsenal game at the Etihad on Saturday September 22nd... does anyone know how to get an away ticket to the match for me and my dad?
Away tickets are going to be harder. I would say hit up Arsenal America but they not as responsive as they had been years ago. Not sure they even do away tickets any more.
I will be in London for Arsenal's opening match of the season against Sunderland at the Emirates. Will it be difficult to obtain tickets for this match (being that it is the first of the season)? I am a Red Member. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Well played sir, I am quite sure that you will get some positive feedback to your post. There's still a few 'good guys' on this forum, that will help you out, with constructive advice. ...and I hope that you will get to see the match. For my part, I always suggest adding on a Stadium tour, with one of our 'legends' .. ....and as much time as you can spare, visiting the museum next to the stadium.
I would keep an eye on the ticket sales for when it opens up to red membership. Might have to get up at an insane hour to get a ticket. How many are you looking for?
I will be arriving at Heathrow at 11:15 (if the flight is on time) on match day. I'll be staying in South London as well. So I may have to abandon my family and take the Piccadilly line from the airport to North London, while the rest of my clan hauls the luggage the opposite way. With that said, I'm just hoping to make it to the game on time. If I'm unable to get a ticket, I'll definitely go on the stadium tour. I might even do it anyway. I would like to get two tickets, but I'll settle for one if I have to. Apparently, you can only get one ticket per membership unless it's a designated "family and friends day." What time will I need to be awake on July 18th in order to be there when the tickets go on sale to red members?
I believe in the past tickets went on sale at 9am UK time/3am central. Keep an eye on this page for when tickets go on sale which is usually about a month before the match: http://www.arsenal.com/membership/buy-tickets As long understand you may have to settle for just one ticket. You might be able to order it and pick it up at the box office on the day. Make sure you have everything printed out and keep your passport on you as from past experience, they might not accept your US drivers licence. You will be cutting it close getting to the match. You are look at about a hour in travel. Use this to help you make sure you get to where you need to be. http://www.arsenal.com/tickets/getting-to-emirates/journey-planner
I haven't been on the site in ages, and it kind of looks like ticketing has, in general, died down on here, but a couple of questions: a) I got off the waitlist for a season ticket today. Is that still of use to the forum/Arsenal America? b) it looks like Arsenal America now only handles home matches....how are away matches now handled, if at all? Thanks so much.
My name came up on the season ticket list before the 2009 season. Before committing to buy it I wanted to see if I could make the seat available to ArsenalAmerica but was told that a solitary ticket is actually pretty hard to move and wasn't of much use to them. Also, the Arsenal ticket exchange scheme sucks. I don't know if things have changed but it wasn't an available option unless the game sold out, and the club took 10% off the top of the ticket sale. You never saw the cash from the sale, only credit applied to next season's season ticket purchase. In the end, I passed on the opportunity to get the season ticket. Again, unless things have changed from last season, ArseAm only does home matches now.
Away matches are handled by you. Rick B who used to do the tickets made that rule year ago before ArseAm took over. As for the season ticket, I would say how often would you travel and do you have any friends in the States or Abroad who would use the tickets. Until ArseAm starts being more open, I wouldn't offer it to them.
Why bother? With the exception of a small handful of games, tickets are harder to get rid of than they are to get.
Yeah, agreed. Might have had a couple people in place to split it. Anyway, she maintained there are no lower tier tickets left, I insisted I had the cash for lower ready to go. Deferred until next season. There's no way I'm paying for upper tier and all that insane amount of money when the ticket list is collapsing and there probably won't be one soon.
Hi, I am coming to Europe from the states for 3 weeks. Not planning to spend too much time in London since I've been before but i desire to go to an Arsenal game. The one that works for me is May 12th. I think i understand how to go about getting tickets but my question is about the likely hood of the game being rescheduled since it's labeled "(to be rearranged if Arsenal or Wigan play in FA Cup final)". Any thoughts on this would be helpful and very much appreciated! thanks.
