Well you got Frings sitting back, you don't need CBs I guess. Hey I recognize your sub from his mugshot.

Ya.. Frings got a lot on it, but .. I dunno Impact seem asleep.. ripe for the taking, I'm afraid, unless they find some energy. Nyassi may help.

Very typical of Impact .. they can look like top of the league one game, and then sleepwalk the next.

"got out of the way" or "pulled aside by koev"?

Happy for Frings and TFC (& just in general) but bad defending and officiating contributed there.

Did the Impact just build a 2 man wall for a free kick from 45 yards out? Really?

Always thought Soolsma one of their best players.. tonight sure doesn't change that opinion. Impact have nothing in the tank.

Wow. Three game unbeaten streak, one loss in our last 5. We've graduated from horrid to awful.

There was no single man of the match tonight. It was a "team effort" for 90 minutes which we haven't seen much of, granted we usually only get this on Wednesday's. Hall's face was all over the ball, but Eckersley and Frings were all over the place. Ecks with timely tackles and overlapping runs and Frings just led by example on the back to the front.

Mind you sometimes when Soolsma had the ball, Nigel Reed said "Eckersley." It looked like Ecks was making overlapping runs when really it was Soolsma . In fact he also confused JDG with Morgan a couple times. If I had a shot for every time Reed messed up I'd be drunk :)
Good to see Soolsma get into the game. Still not sure he features in Mariner's plans but we'll see. A couple weeks ago I was dissing Koevs. a bit, I admit, and now he's got 5 goals in his last 5 or something. Glad to see him getting some goals.

Nigel appears to have had the shots before messing up.

at 3-nil, Soolsma had a long run where Reed identified him no less than 3times as Eck.....the run ended by the defender guiding Soolsma-Eck out of play and the camera zoomed in.....the long silence kinda told the story of Reed realizing his error.....this time.

Wileman is not great but he's way better than Reed. errors with names all night and in the first half constantly reminding viewers that both teams could've scored in the first five minutes ugh so irritating. Colour was spotty too, i couldn't tell who it was though.

I have to applaud Mariner today. Even though I still don't like the long ball system, the players seem to be getting a much better hang of it and as a result aren't hitting every ball long, just when they have to. Also his substitutions were good, and at the end we didn't sit back and soak up the pressure, we actually looked more dangerous than Montreal.

I have to say though, that Koevermans goal was way too easy. How is it that their entire team could be in their own half, yet Morgan gets a free run down the side of the box, and Koev gets a free run through the middle of the box?

And to think, if we had held onto those last two games we would have been ahead of Philly right now.

Really, I think Nigel could replace all the names with Disney characters and still it would be better than some of MLS guys.. many of them are ferociously annoying. Whether it's the evangelists of the temple of Donovan at LA, or the squeaky-voiced over-bearing lecturer of RSL ... or how about SJ and the Subway sub and the $1 coupon.. there are many levels below Nigel as above..
