At least it stops the stupid section of our (United)support wanting to play him ahead of Nani.

I've never cheered harder for Young and Rooney to miss PKs. Thank you Young.

Any England result would have been a travesty. I like Hart's cheeky approach to PKs...but you have to stop them. Pirlo....that was just the ultimate ******** you.

Didn't know that. Germany deserve to be in the Final. I'm hoping for a Portugal - Germany final.

Pirlo type and quality are just rare, love watching him. Did England had a plan at all except for stick to whatever was working previously, Welbeck as I said before is the most out of place player in that setup and I still dont see what Young does in a football match as a winger.

Pirlo went beyond defecation with that penalty.

In a weird way, I wouldn't have been bothered if England had went through, because Germany would have annihilated them.

I'm sure Nani must be grinning away after the atrocious performance from Young.

Pirlo was a 10 playing against a bunch of 4s.

A decent point was made in the commentary - Germany have something like 2 extra days to prep for their match simply because of how UEFA schedules the games.

Obviously for milking the tournament they will continue to put each quarterfinal on its own day, but that seems a bit strange.

After this tournament it pretty evident to suggest that Young should warm the bench and shine Nani's boots. On a side note, Rooney was pretty average today as well. I miss that explosive young Rooney :(

    You basterds, STOP jinxing Portugal:eek:

    Pirlo pulled a Helder Postiga F U to England/Tottenham at Euro 2004:D

Germany- Italy should be a great match, the history of Germany never having beaten them, chiellini back, maybe di natale...heard Swieni might miss due to injury as well.

Schweini has been a weak link for them so not a big miss.

On England, this is a fantastic result for them. A win today, after the Chelsea CL win, would have set English football back another 10 years.

I wonder if Rooney is good enough to be our talisman anymore, he has lost that bit of acceleration and magic moment and his overall game has gone down.

I agree, but the system and surrounding players didn't help.

Rooney is our #9, 2 of the last 3 seasons has shown that.

What's the best site for individual passing stats etc?
