The field is just awful. Aren't there any good groundskeepers in Guatemela?

Edu hasn't been very sharp. Might be time to give Becks a chance before an equalizer comes in.

Good end of the half for US. Edu cleaning up well and positioning is good ... can't let Ruiz turn though. Passing is quicker than last few games: I like. Need better final ball from Bradley or some additional wing play to swing in some crosses.

    Class goal by Deuce.

What do you expect? Guatemala is a 3rd world country no offense to Guatemala of course.

Can't complain about the quality of the stream because it's Guatemala. What did we think we would get? I'm expecting a LOW BATTERY warning to pop up on the camera screen at some point in the second half.

Sadly, this is too true. I've been amazed how clean the game has been considering we are playing Guatemala.

That was a heck of a goal by Dempsey. He juked two Guats out of their boots and turned and fired. Absolute class.

I am not backing down on this one, and 2nd review of tape will confirm. Edu has been our best player...not saying much, but we are up 1-0.

This is not a beauty contest. He is running guys off the ball, holding possession and even getting forward a bit. He is checking back, cutting out the cut back cross. He is doing good work. I hate that none of you are seeing this and will only believe it after the chalkboard and heatmaps and stats confirm it.

Mexico has been really pinned in their own defensive end. El Salvador is playing really, really well right now.
