Player X Y and Z on a field during a match they created little, underperformed, and the attacking players generally were poor does not = a fact that they are an attacking force or get credit for the team netting three. The premise is a bit funny IMO. Look - they are all damn fine players performing well at big clubs and have scored big goals for club and country. Many countries would like to have them. Bradley is my favorite National Team player btw. We have NEVER had players with the two way abilities of Bradley and Jones IMO. Perhaps I just hope they can develop into the type of midfield that does not need three central, primarily ball winning and distributing players. Can it be done with two? Would the following, when on form, tear apart. Lat CONCACAF opponents? I think it would, especially if the two CDM's do the job and let the CAM stay more advanced. ----the most in form striker of the bunch---- --Dempsey-------Donovan-------Holden----- (interchangeable) -------------Bradley----------Jones----------- ---------T H E B A C K F O U R -----------
I think we are doing ok offensively. I think we are doing even better defensively. we scored 12 this year and gave up 6 in 7 matches. Last year we scored 11 and gave up 13 in 10 matches.
It's a tricky question actually so I will answer it simplistically as possible. Over all Grade= B Defense= A- ( pretty much solid for when they went to sleep ) Offense= B- ( Didn't finish well ) I am a firm believer of the 4-3-3! I like: Dempsey-Gomez ( Altidore Sub)- Donovan Torres- Bradley- Jones Defense: No comment with injuries Truth I think there is a lot of good answers out there!
