Tips for watching the U.S. national team’s World Cup qualifier at Guatemala on Tuesday By Steven Goff The U.S. national team will play Guatemala on Tuesday night (10 p.m. ET) in the second of six matches in the semifinal round of World Cup qualifying. But unless you are among the hearty souls at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City or have found a reliable pirated video feed online, watching the match isn’t going to be as simple as turning on ESPN. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...gJQA5o3qUV_blog.html?wprss=rss_soccer-insider Where to Watch USA vs. Guatemala Please reply with any additional venues that aren't on their list. Tip 1. Lot's of alcohol Tip 2. see #1 anywho, all the places/options have been pretty much listed and covered but good on OP linking that article.
same here. I can't leave my kid at home for that long while I drive off to Honduras Kitchen. This is BS. I can watch Ukraine vs. Sweden at home but not the USMNT.
And USA v. Guat is twice as entertaining. Sweden v. Ukraine was boring (speaking for myself only, ofc). The humidity, the bags of urine, the outstandingly bad refereeing, the fans behind barbed wire, its like the roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd. Wouldn't miss is for anything. Sweden v. Ukraine was like getting a prostate exam.
Be sure and check with the bar before going! Danny Coyle's in San Francisco is on the list, but they posted on Facebook that they would not be showing the game.
Agreed - I just called them and they said, nope. Trying O'Reilly's, but they said "call back tomorrow."
I have called: Kezar Mad Dog Danny Coyle's O'Reilly's Giant squat so far, though I got a "call back tomorrow" from O'Reilly's.
The Chatham Tap in Indianapolis on Mass Avenue is not only showing the match, but they tweeted today (@chathaptap) - NO COVER. Way to go CT!!! I will come early and have dinner too. $$$$$
The Buffalo Wild Wings in San Jose is supposed to be showing it. 1620 Saratoga Ave San Jose, CA, 95129
Tis true. I live in the Bay Area and haven't found anything. F'ing sucks. Looks like I'm paying $30. When calling around I didn't get plenty of answers along the lines of "ha, why would we buy a soccer match"? Schmucks.....
@Anyone living in the northern part of the East Bay: Interested in getting together spontaneously and sharing the cost? I live in El Cerrito.
Also not showing the match in SF: Abbey Tavern, Mad Dog & Jillians, just called them. Ugh... I think I may just end up starting at Mission & 30th, and walk down the street hoping to find a Latin bar or restaurant that randomly has it on. Lee
