If England can win 1-0, it would not shock me at all if you guys can go all the way ala Chelsea. If the D can hold up, England will score 1 goal against anyone. This is a terribly interesting match to gauge where England is, can they win with a pretty good squad but without big stars, when they couldn't win it with big stars in the team?

First blood to England. Great FK from Gerrard and Lescott buries it with a bullet header!

    Pheww :D

Poor by Oxlade to give away that freekick and get a yellow. Could have been 1-1.

Good goal Nasri, Nice buildup but should have closed him down earlier.

1-1 at HT. We haven't really created many chances so far. Hopefully we can improve in the second half.

Halftime, 1-1 is fair although lost our shape a bit after the equaliser.

Oxlade has started to struggle, especially when Debuchy drives on like he does. May be wise to sub him at halftime, either straight swap for Downing (god help us) or Walcott on and switch wings with Milner.

James Milner ladies and gentlemen! Overall, not a bad half for England, but they started sitting way too deep. AOC hasn't learned how to defend yet either.

Milner done nothing apart from give the ball away so far. nasri scored out of the area where he was supposed to be tracking.

    Equal game so far..

milner is so shit, johnson is totally blind, his positional sense is worse than brambles. he is like ashley coles stillborn cousin. france can pass and have been better than us in many departments, but any concerted attack will go straight through them imo. our players lack any confidense in the final third so far.

worrying days but remember, we can do better than the french v sweden and ukraine, they struggled against smaller sides v blanc, and have excelled in bigger matches. the draw is the key.

Debuchy earning his move out of Lille, Pardew will be unhappy about this game :p

i think hart has made a few errors, plus a few good saves. we look v vulernable from set plays and crosses. if we can get that team shape we had in the first 20 mins we can win. i think we have already gassed ourselves and we will drop back and try and do a chelsea.

********. roys 0 goals against is gone.

i agree, this french side is defo there for the taking and setting up a confident tournament. i just seriously doubt we have what it takes to realise and achieve this.
