Well, it was El Salvador's U23 team that did some remarkably dirty things in the game against the US when we were eliminated from Olympic qualifying earlier this year. Their top defender punched Terrence Boyd in the face off the ball, and both Mix Diskerud and Freddy Adu had bite marks on them from Salvadoran players. - see the punch at 3:43. So, some precedence from earlier this year . . .
Speaking of this, the other day RSL asked on their facebook page "if you could have one RSL player with you during the zombie apocalypse, who would it be and why?" Most of the respondents said Olave. I say Borchers. Why Borchers? Because I'm pretty sure he's the only player on the team I could beat in a footrace. So when the zombies are chasing us, they'll catch up to him first, thereby buying me time to flee to safety and/or reload my pump-action shotgun while they eat his entrails.
Lol I saw that post, went with olave as well. How could you not, he would destroy any zombie, and if he got overran there is plenty of him to eat on while you got away.
I see these MLS/Adidas Smart Soccer TV ads and notice there is some random guy in a RSL kit. Is this guy someone from the bench or academy team that I have never seen?
I don't quite get the trio they are highlighting in that commercial. Shea - US good player. Somewhat makes sense Javi - good MLS player, but plays for the smallest market team Perkins - keeper for Portland. what does this "smart soccer" do for a keeper? You ran across your box 5 times tonight, good job? wtf?
Didn't see this posted but here is a Javi highlight video that's pretty cool. BTW, the thing he does at 1:35 is still one of the coolest things I've ever seen done with a soccer ball in a match.
our reserves just kicked off against Chicago at the new field in Sandy. How bad do we lose this one? Break dance Javi is on the pitch, so that's a good thing. ------------------Reynish Tanaka----Salcedo---Mansally(?)---Estridge ----------------Alvarez ----------Vela-------Steele ----------------Javi --------Arnoux-------Tweed-Kent? Is that Kenny Mansally who used to play for New England?
Look - it's #9, Fabian Espindola! L'il Wing! Dema and his puppy! Yura! Robbie! Rice-Eccles (reverse exclamation point). How old is this video?
hehe, love it. the dude is magic when he's on, nobody in this league can do some of the creative things he does with the ball.
looks like morales played a half. hope he is fit for 30 minutes against chivas. teams tied up 0-0 at half, twitter says RSL dominated the first half but no goals. no idea about mansally.
according to soapbox, he didn't participate in practice last week because of an injury. RSL up 1-0 on a pk taken by Grabs (Enzo was taken down in the box) It is Kenny Mansally from New England (well formerly) information here
RSL reserves now up 2-0 velasquez finishes a chance created by Muniz and Allen. Could they actually win a game!?
2-1 final...RSL reserves win! Late Chicago PK cut it to 1 but it was the final kick of the game. Can anybody who was there give us a report? How was Javi? Looked like Enzo was more involved...what was your assessment?
if there wasn't Euro today I would have gone no offense to RSL reserves, but I value Euro higher than them
