From an FCD point-of-view, they were definitely very visible yesterday. FCD staff were dispersed throughout the stadium in red team polo shirts and they ran a nice ad on the Jerry-tron (although I think it would have been smarter to highlight Jackson and/or, or Lleyva rather than Hartman). Anyway, here's my recap of the gamin case you didn't see it: http://sportdfw.com/2012/06/04/record-crowd-at-cowboys-stadium-sees-mexico-shock-brazil-2-0/
I'm glad I skipped going out there this time. Arlington police don't put proper focus on traffic for soccer games. The refs were the story of the game I saw. Even though I was mad that brazil thumped the Nats I still wanted them to destroy el tri. The Mexicans battered the brazilians yet the MLS crew did what they always do... Allow the violent team to do a "number 6" on the creative team.
I'm no El Tri fan, not even close, but I have to admit that they were the better team on this day. And while you are right about the traffic (30 was a BITCH going home), I have to say I was impressed w/ the sheer beefiness of the Arlington cops. I mean seriously, those dudes are enormous.
I was lucky enough to duck off 30 near Lone Star Park just as the traffic started to pile up and the cop cars whizzed past me.
OT but I think the prolific bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman was/is an Arlington police officer...beefy indeed.
