China is Spain's last match before Euro 2012, meaning Spain's starting XI will be made up of players who made the 23 man squad for the Euros.

PIAO CHENG SAID WHY HE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE TEAM
Piao Cheng, the talented youngster who was expected to enter the national team, said he didn't join Team China because he has some personal issues to deal with back home. He said he was too busy during the CSL season, and he needs the two week holiday to go back to Northeastern China to visit his family.

Is it true that China is playing Spain again in November? I know the deal was to play one match in Spain and one in China.

    no confirmation yet amigo.
i remember the "deal" mentioned the return match does not need to play in 2012, it can play in other years too (i think within 3 or 4 years).

Press conference tomorrow at Worker's Stadium to announce, among other things, that it will be one of four set stadiums for the national team. After 8 years, the national team's returning to Beijing! The other sites are expected to be Kunming, Shanghai, and Wuhan.

actually, Kunming's out of the running. It will be Beijing's Worker's Stadium, Wuhan's Stadium, Tianjin's Olympic Stadium, and Shanghai's Hongkou Stadium that will serve as the home grounds for the national team.

sad that kunming is not in the list
i often believe high-altitude stadium would give china the advantage
(citing the example of bolivia 6-2 argentina pre-world cup 2010 game).

I think it was pretty obvious the altitude never really had the desired effect (except maybe in the match against Australia). The fans in Kunming also didn't always come out and its too far away for the majority of national team fans to travel to.

That said, I think its good to have distribution of the sites, right now they're all on the east coast and all fairly close together and Shanghai is an absolutely horrible choice because they are guaranteed to have nobody at the matches (which is likely why they chose Hongkou over Shanghai Stadium). It would have made more sense to have one in the northeast and one in Guangzhou/Shenzhen.

news said shandong luneng's players didn't arrive to the national team training on time (that's hao junmin, zheng zheng, and the geng goalkeeper dude).

reporters speculate that shandong luneng refused to release them (because the team is in crap CSL ranking) and the club didn't notify CFA that the three players aint coming.

some people tried to contact luneng club's management, but there was no reply.
hope this is just those typical chinese media bullshit.

    ok just an update
i just watched most of the match of spain vs. south korea
spain won 4-1, and barcelona/athletico bilbao players didn't play (due to copa del rey).
so the spain that china is playing, will be much more difficult.

    Translated this from Marca:

Camacho said that for China "it's nice to be able to play Spain in their last match before Euro 2012, because the whole team will be there to compete and the whole world will watch it which is important for Team China."

China will have a training session in the Benito Villamarín stadium (home to Betis) this evening to "loosen up the teams' muscles" after a long journey and will have a more intense training session on Friday in the same stadium.
