here's the kick looks like he felt it lol http://video.sina.com.cn/p/sports/j/v/2012-05-19/174261753319.html and the goal lol http://video.sina.com.cn/p/sports/j/v/2012-05-19/162161753275.html
Your English is very good. I have no connection to or understanding of Dalian. My assumptions: 1. Shide has been doing very poorly in recent years when you take into consideration of their history. 2. Aerbin appears to have been created out of nothing, so it's not like there's an organic rivalry. 3. Aerbin won the division three and division two championships in the last two years so maybe it has attracted a lot of grassroots support. 4. When Shanghai East Asia F.C., coached by Xu Genbao, was having its cinderella season in division two, I think many Shanghai Shenhua fans followed their matches. I certainly did and I even attended a game. I don't know what would have happened to non-ultra Shenhua fans if East Asia had gotten promoted to CSL, especially considering Zhu Jun's volatile reign as the Shenhua boss. How did you become a fan of Chinese soccer? A billion people want to know. Do you support Dalian Shide?
Chengb knows his stuff too. He also has "boots on the ground." He and teamdragon have had this tit for tat thing going on for some time now. I chalk it up to northern-southern rivalry. It makes me happy that some people are still keeping the stereotypes alive.
the strange goal happened because the goalkeeper thought it was offside (and he heard the whistle --- which was actually from the audience/NOT referee).
so lippi's first game in charge: Guangzhou Evergrande 1-0 Qingdao Jonoon watched the first 20 mins and felt asleep lol (it's 4:50am in my corner of earth). Gao Lin scored his first league goal after a Sun Xiang free kick. Conca played (so his ban is over). Lippi used Feng Junyan, Maimaitiaili, and Paulao for the subs. Lippi used the 4-3-2-1 formation, with Conca and Gao Lin as AMFs. Video: http://cs.sports.163.com/match/report/1700.html#p=81VSV2RL0B6P0005
during half-time of the guangzhou match, a tribute to lee jang-soo was made. with the bgm of "goodbye my lover" being played.
Changchun Yatai 0-1 Beijing Guoan Shao Jiayi assisted Piao Cheng's sole goal. Liaoning Hongyun 2-1 Tianjin Teda. Zhao Junzhe scored the winning penalty at the final minute for Liaoning, and Li Weifeng led other team members to protest against the referee. Shandong Luneng 2-2 Dalian Shide. Luneng's is closer to relegation, if they continue to play like this.
Thanks for your answer! I'm interest in China since many years, even if I've never been there. And, being a football fan, I looked for a team to support (even if I'm following with interest the whole league). Usually I don't look for a team according to its success... I prefer to search some beautiful town, or passionate fans, or teams with some history... maybe even the colors (I don't like at all the red and blue, the colors of our town rivals) or simply by istinct. Beside this, me and my wife are vegetarians and we live with a dog and six cats, so... with all the respect for different cultures, I don't love those regions where these animals are a common dish. I like the colors and logo of Evergrande, but Guangzhou is really too "chaotic" for my tastes, and so is Beijing. Suzhou and Guilin seem really nice places, but unfortunately there aren't football teams there (please, tell me if I'm wrong, since I don't know very well the lower leagues). The same for the ancient town of Xi'an: so sad for them to loose a team twice in a few years... Quingdao is nice, and it's the hometown of some chinese Sampdoria fans (they founded http://www.sampdoria.cn/), but they've changed too many names and colors, while I'm more "traditionalist"... For this reason I "excluded" from my list the Guizhou Renhe, too. At the end, I'm looking at Hangzhou (hoping Greentown not to leave to Xi'an) and Dalian... both town are great, but I liked many pictures of Shide supporters, and so they are at the top of my list... even if I'm still open to suggestions!!
Top Man! Me neither! That definitely rules out any Guangdong-based team then. Us Cantonese eat anything with four legs excepta table and anything that flies except an aeroplane.
I might have it wrong but isn't teamdragon an ABC over in the land of the free, while chengb02 is a lao wai over in Beijing? 'tis amusing anyway. However if I had to perpetuate the North-South rivalry, I'll throw in an observation from a colleague from Kunming (back in the day when I was in Beijing): "Southerners argue with words, Northerners argue with fists. Never pick an argument with a Northerner!"
LOL! Could you tell me if there are some major rivalries between chinese teams? Or "friendships" like some european clubs? For example Sampdoria fans has a strong friendship with Marseille, Parma, Ternana, Bari and Verona... and some groups with german St.Pauli, too.
Sorry, I am a very casual follower of Chinese football. About a year and a half ago I stumbled across Wildeastfootball.net which has a very thorough coverage of the CSL and also happenings in Chinese football overall. The site is run by some pretty hardcore footy fans and a lot of the local supporters (mostly foreigners as the site is in English) post match reports and comments there. They can put you straight on the true rivalries.
you guys might have probably heard it. it seems Nicholas Anelka is increasingly disgruntled with Shanghai Shenhua. - Anelka mentioned that the team never pass the ball to him - Anelka seems to work as a player-coach now, but he said his hard work was not appreciated (Shenhua hasn't won for a long time) - it was reported that Anelka has phoned Didier Drogba and told him not to come to Shanghai Shenhua, citing the club makes him unhappy
According to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalian_Shide Ri Myong Guk, north korean goalkeeper, signed with Dalian Shide, with number 21, but in site of Dalian there isn't this notice. Is realy or is a fake?
Regarding Dalian Shide and "stability," their owner Xu Ming is involved in the Bo Xilai scandal. I'm not sure if that will have any effect on the club finances. However, the team's form has stabilized and is now mid-table. http://www.euronews.com/newswires/1494796-the-parallel-rise-of-chinas-bo-xilai-and-a-business-ally/ Rivalries Shanghai Shenhua - Beijing Guo'an Shanghai Shenhua - Dalian Shide Shanghai Shenhua - any Shanghai/Jiangsu/Zhejiang club (geographical reasons) Beijing - Tianjin Considering the amount of teams in the Northeast there are bound to be rivalries. Hopefully other posters can help. I'm not sure if any grassroots friendships exist. There are/were a lot of useless commercial links between Chinese clubs and Australian and European counterparts.
That you think teamdragon knows anything about Chinese soccer shows how little time you've spent here. Basically all he does is pop up every now and then to attack me with idiotic arguments and blind nationalist vehemence for a country he's probably never visited. As for Gao Lin, I admit I have an irrational hatred of his face and his background (Henanese who played for Shenhua and now Evergrande, it can't get much worse than that). I recognize that, pretty much by default, he's one of China top strikers (despite having very spotty finishing skills), but he isn't the best and he isn't a team player. Watch Yang Xu to see a striker who not only scores goals but also sets up teammates to score as well as comes back to play defense (Gao never tracks back). It's almost tragic that Gao is rated so highly, it just shows how crucial foreign strikers are to the CSL and China's massive failure in developing strikers. I'd have to go back and check my attendance posts, but I don't really think Aerbin's gotten that much better attendance than Shide over the course of the season. Both teams play far away from the Dalian city center, which is part of the reason their attendance is so low, but with Shide, their fall from grace the past few years has led to a drop off in fans. Chinese football fans are universally glory hunters and whenever a team starts to struggle, attendance will almost always take severe drops. Aerbin's been on the rise, champions of the 3rd division in '10 and of the 2nd division last year, plus they arguably have the most exciting player in Dalian (Yu Dabao) and a core of local players (though Shide also has a number of Dalian natives on the squad).
