A game we could win - maybe should win, just because they are as bad as we are.

FC DALLAS -- OUT: MF David Ferreira (R foot surgery); MF Ricardo Villar (R foot strain); MF Andrew Wiedeman (sports hernia repair); MF Bobby Warshaw (R foot fracture); DF Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms); QUESTIONABLE: MF Carlos Rodriguez (L elbow dislocation); FW Fabian Castillo (L ankle sprain); PROBABLE: MF Brek Shea (L foot turf toe)

I don't expect Brek will be playing due to some disciplinary reason. I am seriously beginning to wonder if Ferreira will be back before Villar. Does he need to go to California for rehab too?

What are the trainers doing or not doing?

...it won't be any surprise, because they've won their last two.

By all accounts their locker room is in worse shape than ours, though, with the latest controversy being Novak's comments about trading Cailiff. Adu will also be serving a suspension. But even without him their midfield is not half bad, and Pajoy is heating up, so they'll beat us fairly easily 2-1.

I think it's reasonable to think that Brek's eyes were on the ball and he didn't know the linesman was right there until he hit him. Maybe if he just kicked him in the throat he would be ok?

Oh, I read that wrong. OK, so they haven't won in 3. Still, would anyone be surprised to see us lose this one?

When do these clowns make these decisions about retrospective action? (besides the day before a midweek game)

Shea seems to have slowed down on his moments of dumb as he's gotten more experience under his belt, but kicking a linesman in the stomach with the ball ranks up there. At the time I was thinking he was lucky not to get a straight red, but that would've only kept him out for one additional game. Oh well.

4 points in the next 3 games. That's all I ask.

Get 2 weeks off, come back with Villar, Rodriguez, Ugo, and Shea, with Ferreira in training. Get hot in July/August. Trust the Schellas. Trust the Schellas.

In the mean time, Shea ought to get a hair cut, take a shower, press his clothes, tuck his shirt and polish his shoes.

Another man down with the benefit of the doubt, as usual, going to the late risky challenger already on a yellow for persistent infringement. Only an idiot is surprised at this point.

When I watch other MLS games I see teams take up for themselves. They step on feet & ankles, kick shins, etc etc. They do so with purpose, not by over-reacting. Smart physical teams start fouling first or when the other teams control the game early. Usually, the other team will then take up for them selves, but not by over-reacting. Sometimes both teams start physical

We seem to be softer, more naive and not as physically tactical as other teams. We get fouled and cry to the ref, rather than answer back with our own physical fouls. This type of approach is allowed to be successful by the refs in MLS. I don't like it, but it is what it is.

In the past we had two or three players that understood this part of the game and always dished out some punishment. Eventually receiving yellow cards but not early in the game and not getting red cards.

Is this perhaps a FCD coaching problem?

Why would they fine him? He is simply making a factual statement backed by statistics. But, SH is not to get any traction with the USSF refs. They continue using some bastardized version of the Laws of the Games. The DC's overview power is where we will get any help. But, the refs have no shame. Week in week out, their "oversights" have to be corrected and they don't seem to change. When the DC provides relief it fails to help us in the actual game where we are being hammered. So the relief is delayed justice. Add to the fact that we are being looked at with a lot more scrutiny, (sometimes warranted, some times not so much), than other MLS teams.

Hopefully Pertuz did not fracture his ankle.

This team really needs to get a "f uck the world" approach to their game. If the officials/suspensions/injuries/gods are going to screw us, we're going to have to band together and make some serious headway. We need points bad or this is going to turn into 2009 again.

What was Dunseth doing commentating for this game? My personal hell would feature a 24/7 Dunseth soundtrack.

Would you rather listen to Brian Dunseth for 90 minutes or...

    Get shot in the face?
Have a rabid dog bite your balls?
Consume raw sewage from a city pipeline?

    Continue...

Shot in the face with what? How hard does the dog bite? How much sewage would I need to consume, and from which city?

And with Dunseth, does that 90 minutes include stoppage time?
