I don't know, even with more obvious names I expect I'd still have to search out their names online using vague descriptions of the maps and what version of the game it was; just like I had to do with Hazard. :D

Playing last night was the very reason I am happy for paying for Elite. I definitely had an edge over the players who went the route of buying the map packs and it had the feel of Christmas all over again. Definitely looking forward to this weekend’s double xp.

if It was called 'Golf Club' would you have had to look?

And I was thinking the same thing about the noobs. had a couple of good matches, but didn't pay off the way I was hoping. Sigh.

Probably, though I found it by searching for "resort" and "third black ops map pack".

Saw on another board that this weekend will see; Gun Game, One in the Chamber, and another FFA game type, added to the community playlist. That info reminded me, who do we follow on Twitter to get info on patches, updates, and DLC now that 402 resigned?

i've tweeted him a couple times and not heard back. I mean, he has 3 million followers or something, so it's not surprising.

and adding gun game to the list would be AWESOME. that was by far my favorite part of black ops. near the end it was all I would play. got to be pretty good at it, too -- as long as I got a quick kill on the akimbo pistols. there were some games where I just couldn't get off of that level. but it's so frantic, more often than not it wasn't a problem

I stopped playing the MP on CoD during W@W and haven't missed it one bit. I still rent the games to play the campaign, but haven't played the MP in years. So many better games out there that it makes it hard to miss.

the spawns can be bad, but I dont' see an issue with any of their other complaints.

    I still enjoy this game.

i like the foundation map .... think it'll be fun. it's got a nice vertical element to it. really have to keep your eyes open.

not sure on the sanctuary map. it looks amazing but haven't had much fun on it. so big but yet it's not wide open. sometimes you just have to run forever to get to a flag and/or enemy.

we'll see how they grow on me.

My initial opinion, both maps are good but I don't think either is made for domination. Foundation has B and C too close together while Sanctuary just doesn't seem to be built for that gametype...

The nice thing about Foundations vertical element is that while it has many different elevated spots its all out in the open. Going high in hopes of having an advantage really isn't there.

very true. but you can go up there to move around and catch people unaware. but you can't camp there.

thought santctuary was awful for S&D. enjoy it on KC because you keeping moving in that game.

new maps, game modes out today

I thought the MP map was pretty fun. Looks gorgeous, plays fun.

did anybody try those FaceOff games? I played some 2v2 with random people and it was pretty fun. Big advantage if you're playing with a mic'd up friend as opposed to a random person. Played on 3 of the four maps, found them fun. Well suited to the game purpose.

Oasis is right up there with Overwatch for perfectly balanced map for any game mode and it is definitely gorgeous.

I've played a few and found perks can play a much bigger role in how a match goes, which was something I dug. One round I got attack choppers twice but the team I was going up against had layouts that made them invisible to radar and assault aircraft.

Did they just make double xp standard for Elite playlist or was that just for this weekend like the one before it?

Early take on the new maps:
    Terminal - still fun
Decommission - from what I've played of it so far it felt like all the walls were thin enough for bullets to pass through; I like the lay out and the look of it but there were moments where I couldn't tell who was shooting me.
Offshore- seems like it could be a good run and gun kind of map
