This series is hard to predict. I highly doubt that Brodeur is going to be as bad as Fleury was. But does that mean that the goals the offense that the Flyers generated was misleading? My gut says the Flyers only because the Devs had to go 7 against the Panthers. Not to take anything away from Florida, but... actually, yeah, it's a slight against Florida.
I've been a Kings fan since before Gretzky. I had a season seat on the blue line in row L until those fascists stole it away from me. This Kings team is solid from top to bottom. Darryl Sutter has them playing brilliant hockey. The Blues were 30-6-5 at home in the regular season yet they lost their first game at home to the Kings. The Kings won 3 of 4 in the regular season against the Blues, two at home and one on the road. Make no mistake. The Kings have the potential to ride Quick to the Conference Final.
Had a good time at game 2 for the Phoenix Coyotes 5-3 victory over Nashville Predators. Well, we have held serve so far.
I thought that Nashville was the best team remaining in these playoffs. They couldn't even show up in Glendale for the first two games of this series. Very good win by the Flyers yesterday. I wish Danny Briere would try out for the Union. He seems to be the only person in the city able to kick anything into a net. On that play, I could have sworn that Brodeur let that puck go in because he knew that it wouldn't have counted, and he didn't want to give up an easy rebound with Briere on the doorstep. I mean, that puck was moving slow. Brodeur could have easily stopped it. Plus, after it went in, he didn't move an inch because he knew it wasn't going to count. Didn't matter anyway as Briere won it later. LET'S GO FLYERS!! 11 wins to go!!
I think all the teams except Jersey and Washington (unless Ovechkin shows up) have a realistic shot at the playoffs. I am also shocked at Nashville's performance so far in the Phoenix series. Can't help but cheer for the coyotes though because it would be awesome to see them in the finals.
Gary Bettman conspiracy theory!!!! Make this team worthy look worthy for a billionaire to purchase. hmmmm
So, wait, the conspiracy was to have Pekka Rinne play like an ECHL goaltender? Rinne has been horrible for the Preds in these two games. He's been their backbone all year, and suddenly he can't get it figured out. He better soon before the Preds wind up out of the playoffs after round 2 yet again.
Come on, man. No one knows more about match fixing than I do. I see it done shamelessly every week just by watching Serie A. In all seriousness, it's a nice thing for the NHL if the Coyotes succeed, but I still can't see them staying there much longer. Could you imagine the backlash if the Coyotes win the Cup, and then move after next season because they literally can't afford to stay in Glendale? What a tragedy. I want the Coyotes to succeed, but I can't imagine the heartbreak that would come if that happened.
correct me if im wrong but every penny of profit the yotes make, goes straight to the NHL? If thats the case, I see a long cup run in the cards. Not only would NHL make a quick buck, but they would also lure potential buyers and make even more money.... I wouldnt put even the slightest tin foil hat analogy past someone like Bettman.
The NHL puts the money into the sinkhole that they have. Question: What would be the single greatest way to destroy the NHL? To ensure that it basically never existed as a meaningful sport in the US for the next several decades and would result in the loss of billions of dollars?
Yes and you have two equally strong teams and you remove the best player, it significantly alters the balance. I'd be curious to see the Kings without quick.
that's not close to a reasonable comparison. Quick is a Vezina candidate goalie. if you had said Drew Doughty, that might be a better comparison, but Pietrangelo is a far more effective offensive weapon than Doughty, admittedly.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha and .....................................ha!!! Conspiracy theory to finally have my club finally get out of the first round since 1987 and get off to a nice start(they have only held serve so far in the 2nd round) just to make them worth more in a sale. And I thought I was the huge fan of the old X-Files show. Game 2 is finally showing how the Coyotes played for much of this season. I am hoping for a split out in Nashville. As for the sale, it isn't that they are worth too little or too much. It would cause you to have as much, or as little, hair I have on my head if you were to study their idiotic lease paperwork as well as try to figure out how idiotic the city of Glendale can be in all of these negotiations with possible new owners.
