Looking at the KC @ Portland thread it has p/i/p [R] after the thread title. What do those symbols mean? Sorry, i'm still a newbie around here.
There used to be separate threads for Pre match, In match, and Post match now they're all combined. They also contain Results.
Pre/in/post we used to do separate threads for all 3, now just do one, and that explains that it's for all 3. [R] means it contains the result inside the thread so if you don't want to know the result you avoid it.
That one comes from the military. A few others that come from the military that get thrown around a bit: MUNG: (Modified Until No Good) SNAFU: (Situation Normal: All F**ked Up) TARFUN: (Things Are Really F**ked Up Now) FUBAR: (F**ked Up Beyond All Recognition) And my personal favorite... BOHICA: (Bend Over, Here It Comes Again)
You know what really is redundant? ATM machine. I wanna smack people upside the head whenever they call the machine that or say 'PIN number'.
I still use mlsnet.com I think they went away from marketing that when .net TLD's became popular. mls.net.com is a whole other 404 (they should work with the net.com people to redirect that.)
I thought about registering themlssoccer.com as a parody site ... then I thought about simply redirecting it to mlssoccer.com to make people angry...
Well, they can't get mls.com as its held, so I suppose whats the alternative thats as memorable as mlssoccer.com? majorleaguesoccer.com is just a pain in the ass.
how about mlsp/i/p[R].com The one stop, Super-all-inclusive .com official Home for major league soccer, never to be confused with buying or selling one's residential home.
I miss the days when people could visit dicks.com and be shocked & amazed that it had nothing to do with sporting goods.
mls.com is not just held, it is the main site used by real estate agents all over the country to find homes for buyers or list homes for sellers. It stands for Multiple Listing Service. There is no chance that site registration name will ever come up for sale anytime soon.
