Interesting or just amusing? http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_...-field-at-the-hdc-on-april-15th.html#comments
If I want to see a bunch of out of shape old American dudes play a bunch of out of shape Mexican dudes, I'll go to my regular Monday night pickup game.

There were an estimated 10,000 fans in attendance, US fans totalled maybe 50-70? About 25 people from the American Outlaws crammed into the front rows of the corner section #127. There was quite a nice brawl in the stands during the second half between US and Mexico fans. La Opinion reports at least a dozen people were ejected following the fracas. The Mexican players were waay more match fit that most of the US squad. I think the Mexican team only made two or three subs (all during the second half), whereas the US swapped players out continually. Cobi, Caligiuri and Mathis are certainly showing they are enjoying their well deserved retirement from the game! It really sucks that there was no television broadcast of this game at all. Ian Feuer played an absolutely beautiful game as a GK, and no one will ever see it who wasn't there.
Early post-game reports from the US camp suggest that John O'Brien will be sidelined 8-12 months with a dislocated femur. The US trainer reported that although all of his extremities had made it through the game quite well with help from liberal usage of duct tape and WD-40, when reaching for the gatorade after the game, he heard a "pop" and realized his pelvic bone was where his knees used to be.
A goal from Rocket Roy. Nice! I wonder how much speed he's lost over the years. I also wonder how many times he was whistled for offside in this game...
