Our first team would struggle in this league.

Most teams (other than the Revs, of course) supplement with additional games against local teams.

The Revs, on the other hand, still haven't hire a reserve team coach. I guess they have until April 9th, so no hurry, right?

I think we have 24 players right now, so I'll guess we want 28 and go: Brettschneider, Smith, Cruise, and (White? Idk, we need defenders depth-wise)...

    LINEUPS!?
[LINEUP-4-4-2]Brettschneider(^), Fagundez(v), Mansally, Simms, McCarthy, Nyassi, Tierney, Barnes, Mercier, Guy, Shuttleworth[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

    SUBS:
    F - Smith, Schilawski
    M - Boggs, White
    D - Polak, ?
    GK - Murray

Where does Kinne even fit on this team the more I think about it?

    Re: Foxboro vs. Frisco

Reserve game in Philly tomorrow night? Anyone have any info? What players are making the trip?

Maybe a chance for Moreno and Rundstrom to get some game fitness. Lots of strikers need minutes (those two plus Fagundez and Brettschneider)-- but we only have two backs (Polak and Barnes) who need playing time, unless Lozano is ready.

We also don't really have a back-up DM now that McCarthy is a CB.

Sure wish we could watch these games.

FWIW, this is the Revs lineup that lost 4-2 to Philadelphia in the reserve game today:

New England Revolution Reserves – Bobby Shuttleworth (**Dominik Machado 73); Darrius Barnes, John Lozano (**Mitch Taintor 73), Kevin Garcia, Tyler Polak (** Ramiro Osorio 83); Jeremiah White, Michael Roach, Alec Purdie, Kenny Mansally; Diego Fagundez, Blake Brettschneider

Three Academy players (noted by the **) and a guess player (Garcia). Interesting.

Good for a bunch of the noobs to get a run-out. Though I'm not sure if that is an accurate lineup as Dominik Machado (a field player) probably didn't go in for Shuttleworth.

Also interesting that Lozano and Barnes are well enough to play.

Must've been a double switch. We were playing in an NL town, after all.

Mansally apparently scored both goals. He's certainly been the forgotten man in Foxboro this season.

He took the pk, and he was the senior member among the miss and strikers today. Open question whether he'll ever get playing time again with the first XI.

    Re: Foxboro vs. Frisco

Is it troubling To anyone else a defense anchored by those two gave up 4 goals to a reserve side? Recovering from injury or not, it doesn't give me much faith in Lozano.

Mansally should just stay down in the mid atlantic region, he seems to only score goals in DC and Philly.

Seems harsh unless you saw the game. Defense is a team effort, poor midfield play or poor outside back decisions can leave a center mid helpless.

If I could guess, I'd say this was a contributing factor in the struggles of Barnes and Lozano. Alec Purdie is normally playing winger or fullback for the Revs and Roach isn't even on the roster. I'm sure Okugo and Torres were picking those two apart and having a Costa Rican international up front wouldn't help the cause.

Looks like there has been a few changes made to the schedule:

DC United home game moved to Sunday May 20th, 6pm (1st team plays HOU the previous day).
@NY moved to Sep 22 (DH with 1st team at Gillette)
I wonder if NY sold us the home leg? ;)

Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Kenny Mansally played for DCU as a trialist/guest player.
