Personally I thin Obama will be missing some serious tricks in the coming months if he doesn't have his "Bill Clinton saxophone"-type moment by just showing up on Jon Stewart or even in speeches, simply playing "he is a bully" followed by "he is afraid of me", and the likes against each other, one after the other, after the other. The 'I am a real American' bit for his birth cert a while back went over brilliantly, and I think he really would be missing out by not juxtaposing himself as relateable against The RomneyBot by playing that hand a few more times before/during the summer, right before the election race gets more 'serious' in tone. Doesn't matter too much as he is walking the damn thing either way, but it would be fairly cool to see is all.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and say that you're largely full of crap here. Section 8 is a way to get low-income people in privately managed housing. Have you ever been to a government-managed housing project? They steal the soul of their residents. The private sector just does housing better. So what if someone makes some profit from it? I guess I'm pretty touchy about this because the company I work for owns, manages and develops low-income rental housing and we're damn good at it and I can guarantee you that no one is getting rich here. My company is a non-profit but we have several projects financed by tax credits bought by - yep - wealthy investors. But so what? Those investments allow us to purchase, build or rehab buildings that give a lot of people a clean and safe alternative to living on the sidewalk. Are there people who might be scamming the system? Maybe. But overall Section 8 and various other HUD housing programs really do help people who need help. So you might want to think about trimming your broad brush there, because you don't know what you're talking about. Edit: if you Google housing CDCs in Portland, my company is the first one that pops up.
U.S. teen birth rates are at record lows. The rate of sex among teenagers is pretty much the same as it has been for the past 20/30 years. However, contraceptive usage -- in particular condoms -- is higher. Thus, fewer babies. The clear winner in family values (i.e., urging abstinence) vs. education (i.e., suggesting condoms) has been education.
And the states with the highest teen birth rates are (mostly) the fundamentalist, white trashy states in the deep south, where abstinence education is so popular.
I hesitated to go there because those states tend to have large African-American populations, which affects matters as African-Americans have high teen birth rates. Asian-Americans have the lowest rates ... that might be the exception to the rule, in my recollection Asian girls weren't exactly forward and my son a generation later says just the same.
The key to that lock is a very good looking Japanese roommate. Japanese seem partial to blonds. As a result the Asian babe wake is prime for trolling. Worked for me.
That sounds like college advice to me. For high school, I would modify to "they were impossible to get into the bedroom, but if such a thing could ever happen in a theoretical world then I guess it would be go time." From my experience.
I've always found it weird and comfortable to read other people talk about my ethnicity as an object of fetish.
Ah, there is always Vigdis Agustdottir from 'Red Storm Rising'. Name: Vigdis Agustdottir Dept: Technology Position: Agent, Rigger (A-1) Female, age 29. Native icelander bears the stereotypical blond hair and blue eyes. She is stunningly beautiful, but doesn't recognize this, tragically. Partnered with Perez building the Companies vehicles (for all medium) she carries out the mechanical, electrical, and dynamic designs in her head. Truly a gifted mathmatician, she landed in Technology due to her love of Icelandic dune buggies. She has been building these $40,000 wonders with 900 hp, and nitrous oxide boost for 200 hp more. They can climb up to 80 degree inclines with their oversize tires, accelelrate from zero to seventy in 4.5 seconds and literally hydroplane across five hundred feet of openwater after a short start. Since coming to America she has fallen in love with Monster Car Races, and builds models of these for the Company. These monsters can go from zero to sixty in 4.0 seconds, and have applications when used by creative agents. She has been known to jack into up to four different monster trucks or Icelandic buggies to carry in/out a team of agents. When it comes to vehicles, she is tops.
Yeah, no, I don't find it comfortable at all to be a porn category. Of course, I shouldn't to complain - girls get yellow fever too.

Oh you mean when husbands couldn't legally be accused of raping their wives, because who on earth would think that was even possible? Is this the type of 'traditional manliness' we're talking about? Or possibly it's the macho lifestyle that gives us such morally-sound television like Jersey Shore or The Godfather? Or the paternalism of places like the army, where only 'manly men' need apply and women can't serve in combat no matter how good a soldier they are? I'd be hard-pressed to find one aspect of 'traditional manliness' that, while ostensibly good-intentioned, hasn't been abused into something discriminatory. You feel free to prove me wrong.
No thanks because I'm not here to defend all of traditional manliness. Just pointing out the dichotomy. Say one more bad thing about the Godfather though and then we have problems.
