The game is underway. "Class (Arsenal) vs. Cash (Manchester City)".

Kompany really is fantastic. Was he an Eriksen signing or Hughes?

Gervinho is not even on the bench, that is curious. is he injured or in such poor form?

That is a clear penalty. Much clearer than the bogus one given to MU this morning.

If that was a PK against QPR/Derry today then that was just a PK against City/Kompany just now. ;)

Someone tweeted on the today's salaries lineup:

Arsenal First 11: £45.55m. Man City Substitutes: £113.5m.

Now, that's what I called "Class vs. Cash".

That was a brilliant piece of defending from Vermaelen for City :)

Sounds like a great start for us so far. No Silva plus Yaya being out is huge. Too bad Frimpong isn't here to stick Nasri!!

If Balotelli stays, that is rediculous. It's a RED by all interpretations.

That said, the first 20' have been REALLY bright for us. And Song has looked REALLY confident. I just hope that attack by Balotelli didn't really hurt him.

Balotelli hacking Song's knee to pieces, cleats up.........no card/foul though

It's a red card, in my opinion, on Mario Balotelli.

    Absolutely disgraceful challenge

Ballotelli should be banned for a number of games

Embarrassing the referee didn't see it

He'll get suspended retroactively. Doesn't help us now.

Missed the first 5 minutes. We look very sharp so far. Only negative I've seen is that Walcott doesn't seem like he's playing with the same script as the rest of the team...

VP seems up for it. Getting involved everywhere.

As a referee, how do you miss a challenge like that? Yikes .
