The other problem with a GA supporters Section is that folks see those cheap seats (or simply available seats) who are not into the supporters experience and then complain when everyone is standing and singing. The Union consistently warn ticket buyers that they will be exposed to "colorful" language and that standing is typical in the supporters sections, yet people still buy tickets there and are surprised.
I was told at the Livestrong open house last year that a certain percentage of each MLS stadium had to be GA. They had to make the South Stand at LIVESTRONG GA because just doing the Member's Section wasnt going to be enough to meet the requirements.
I'm extremely skeptical of this. As far as I know only the 100 level Supporter Section of BBVA Compass Stadium is going to be General Admission. That's 500 seats out of 22,000. Every other seat in the stadium is going to be designated for that particular ticket buyer for Dynamo games from what I've been told. There may be an exception allowed for the Supporters in the 200s but that isn't even an entire section right now.
Hmmm. I guess we'll wait and see but I believe that the Dynamo have sold season tickets in every section of the stadium and they have not told those people that they are buying in GA sections.
Houston has been since season 1 GA, we saw what worked best from other league teams and around the globe, and thus I demanded GA from AEG which was actually trying with 'em. Don't be dense Andy. It means MLS ticketing departments have shown time and again to leave it late in the game to deliver on what the ticket buyer is getting themselves into.

RSL's is similar to LARS, at least in section 9 where the RCB and SCU are. If someone really wants their assigned seat, they get it, but most people don't care. Not sure if Barra Real operates the same way.
I am pretty sure Earthquakes supporter sections are GA, but, someone from there will need to confirm 100%.
101 at RBA is technically not GA, but people move around all the time. The first row and the back 4-5 rows and the edges of the section have a tendency to NOT be GA, but the center kinda is. Can't speak for 102 or 133.
sorry. was on phone.... What I mean is that it is ********ing typical of MLS ticket departments to do a porr job informing people of where they sit and what certain sections truly mean in terms of gameday expectations.
Ah, OK. But that sort of implies that there are actually G.A. sections in Compass Stadium that have not previously been identified as such. Despite the statement relayed from Kansas City I'm still doubtful that this is the case.
As you know quite well, it's about leaving the bar stools early to stand in line to get in 90 minutes before game time. For good GA seats it means getting the bars earlier!
The LA Riot Squad has the honored distinction of having the most expensive season tickets for a "supporter group" in MLS. We also smoke our cigars, drink our brandy, and wonder what "the little people" in the world are up to at any given moment. We also buy Japanese videos of animal torture for no apparent reason other than to help that remote island recover from the tsunami that we saw on the news a year or two ago. We're giving in that way. We even went straight up to MC Hammer... and touched it. Carry on. tm lars
on eTickets, there is a small blurb saying that 101 is a standing and singing section. yet people who are there for on game insist on getting to their seat, sitting down and demanding that they must have an unimpeded view to watch the game. thankfully, there are always people who do the opposite, wanna have fun, stand, chant, pogo, and don't mind moving a row down to get a standing space. as long as there are more of those people in 101, the better.

In Vancouver the Southsiders are spread over 3 different price points. Those price points are $319 to $499. My two tickets cost me $960 and for that we only get 17 matches + 2 Canadian Championship matches. No scarf ... just two stickers. So really your better off then we are. The Whitecaps had tried to get us all to take the $499 tickets, but ti was too much for most of our members so we are now centralized mostly in the middle price point and spill into the cheaper tickets on one side and more expensive on the other. We don't have GA because we aren't in the cheapest tickets in the stadium, we are spread out over 3 price points and we don't control the section.
