agudelo needs to go to Europe now cut his teeth on reserves or second division to elevate the consistency of his game. that's what my son says is the difference the consistency needed in training everytime then that intensity translates to the field

Yeah that's nice but quite often kids get buried in youth and reserve teams. I say if he can get to an MLS team now and actually play games for the next year or so, then it's a far better option then what he's dealing with.

Much rather have a kid playing in MLS than European reserve leagues or even most 2nd divisions.

You can also trade for allocation money.

Luke Rodgers will not be returning to NYRB due to denial of his visa. So take that for what it's worth.

If agudelo can start at nyrb then I see no reason for him to leave. Henry can teach him a few things.

I wonder if Henry will teach him, though. Henry is known to give the media the cold shoulder and not be the friendliest guy in the world so I wonder if that translates to teammates. It probably doesn't, as he does wear the armband, but it's something that I've wondered since he's been in MLS.

This isn't the my inner Yiddo coming out but I'm not sure how much he's teaching Agudelo, or how much he's learning there period. I remember in the Dallas match Henry had a go at him for a misplaced pass, which was actually perfectly squared for him. Based on his comments after the match it doesn't seem like they have a teacher/mentor relationship, but who knows.

It's called "selling jerseys". I doubt that Agudelo will buy a lot.

I talked to Arsenals fans...they lvoe him but they claim he actually ruined some young players due to all the flack they got from him at practices.

I imagine Henry has mellowed out since then but still I would not bet on Henry being some type of mentor for Agudelo.

He is having a tough break this year with the injuries. I think taking some time off from the national team for a bit and just playing everyday will help him.

With Gomez and Sapong playing well I can see it happening.
