I don't understand all of the nationalism that goes along with CCL. Don't get me wrong, I want to see an MLS club win it. But if it weren't for foreigners, our teams wouldn't be as good. Some people are acting like all MLS clubs are out, because TFC is Canadian. This isn't a national team contest.

MLS winning the CCL would mean the league has closed the gap on the MFL, not specifically the American player being better than the Mexican.

TFC is going to be crushed by Santos.

Yep. Double digits is not out of the question.

LAG is officially a tire fire. SKC may be the favorites in the league right now.

Wow. Glad I missed the seattle game. Highlights are embarassing. Completely fell apart.

It will be interesting to see how tfc plays against seattle this weekend to guage how they will do against santos. Really want mls in the final but damn santos looked good.

Wonder what's goin down in la right now. I doubt many would have guessed them at 0-2-1 in their first 3 competetive matches of '12.

One big thing is the lack of Omar Gonzalez.

Everyone knew they'd struggle in the back but no one could have foreseen how catastrophic losing him has been. To the point that even Arena has to take the blame for the losses and such this early in the season, shocking all around.

I still enjoy watching the giant fall.

Really glad to see our game with them is only a few weeks away and at home. Hopefully they still won't have their complete sh!t together by then....:D

I doubt LA will be down for too long. BA is a bad M-F'er.

The thing is, I don't see their back line as the only problem. Their attack doesn't look fluid at all. And when Chad Barret comes on and the announcer says that's all the attacking power they can send out, maybe LA isn't as deep as advertised.

Their passing was horrifying. Even the simple passes would go straight to a Toronto guy on a regular basis. Absolutely shocking passing at times, even from normally really solid passers. Not at all what we're used to seeing from them.

Just watched the highlights and naturally the run of play didn't translate. But given that LAG's only goal appeared to be an own-goal (though that was a pretty sweet pass from Landy-cakes to Robbie Keane) it does lend credence to the theory that they are a tire fire -- love that phrase BTW.

PS -- Loved Keane's play at Villa. Just wish he hadn't gone back to the dark side (though it seems that's where the big money is).

Davy had Montreal's first goal tonight. Good for him. I'd like to see it if MLS' website wasn't down.

I hate paying 60 bucks for MLS Live and then not being able to see either game today. Anyone got a stream?

    First row has it.

    http://www.firstrowsports.eu/

Ive discovered that playon.tv has a FirstRow plugin as well, so if you have a TV, a PC, a decent internet connection, and an Xbox 360 or a PS3 you can get basically every big match in the world streamed to your living room. Its awesome.

So Ive sort of figured out why I'm not as crazy about Afloat White as everyone sleds seems to be. Its not even that he talks too much, it'd that he talks about too many things too quickly. He does both the play by play and color commentary/analysis, and its really awkward to listen how he switches between the two. I think he'd be great at doing one or the other.

This is my first time hearing him. My impression is that he would be great on radio, where you need to provide more verbal information to the audience, but it seems excessive when seeing the game on television.

I watched highlights yesterday and I can't remember which game it was but I swear one of the commentators normally does golf. Everything he said was in that slow hushed voice.

Maybe there is a MLS God. Colin Clark called a ball boy a, "F***ing f*****", which was caught on mic and of course, this happens:

Part of me hopes that the league comes down on Clarke for that comment, the other part of me realizes that some shit like that is said on the field by some players.

    ********ing ************ - not cool.

    ********ing asshole - totally cool.

I still remember a Seattle ball boy throwing a ball 15+ yards down the line for a Seattle throw in that resulted in a late goal to win against a certain team. :D
