I am happy as long as Steve Gerrard, Gerrard! Suarez and Kuyt are playing together.

I particularly like watching the latter two run amok.

Good pace to the match but somewhat sloppy defending on both ends.

Suarez needs to stop complaining, it's tiring.

Clumsy challenge by Skrtl on Moses results in a Wigan penalty.

Half time - Starting from the back I like how Flanagan is playing. He looks confident out there and has contributed going forward when called upon. Carra and Skrt both at fault for the goal as Carra's poor clearance put Skrt in an awkward position with Moses at the 6. But Skrt should take the lion's share because he took a poor angle to the attacker and his high boot was just stupid. Defending 101 stuff. Enrique keeping his side quiet.

In the midfield, there have been far too many errant passes today mixed with the occasional positive build up passes. Gerrard and Downing very active with each having decent opportunities on goal, Gerrard scuffing the shot and Downing missing inches wide. It's a good thought process in support of Suarez so provided Wigan doesn't look to defend at all costs, I think one of those combinations will result in a break through. For me, Spearing and Henderson have done nothing today.

Up top, Suarez is active and causing havoc among their back line but he's consistently got to battle 3 defenders. He needs more support and intelligent off the ball runs from Kuyt. While he's getting manhandled by Caldwell so there's some justification for the complaints, he's also got to be careful to avoid a stupid card.

Carroll on for Henderson to make the 4-4-2 and the 2nd half has started. The data suggests Carroll should start as he's been an ineffective sub - hopefully this bucks that trend.

Edit: SUAREZ!!!!!!!!!! 1-1 Wonderful centering pass from Gerrard and a confident side footed finish by Suarez.

Liverpool goal disallowed and Suarez given a yellow? WTF? Bizarre decision.

    Pathetic. Again.
Are our players taking bribes from the clubs in the relegation zone?

I'm not watching, but from what has been said here, it is time to keep Carra off the pitch. Just too many errors out of the old boy. No reason for Coates, who is a pretty accomplished and experienced player at a young age, to not be in the side.

The attitudes of the players is pretty terrible if they can't rouse themselves to beat two relegation candidates in a row.
If Wigan go down, I'd be all for a bid to get Moses. Pace, direct, creative. Pretty much everything we don't have from a wide player.

Errrrr - we are the championship side these days. I think we now have the lowest points in the league in the second half of the season?

Top 4 - lol. Top half is looking like a problem now.

Starting to dream about Kenny handing over the side in the summer to Benitez.

This team is such a joke. We've become worse and worse in the last three months with no signs of improvement whatsoever.

    Pretty horrible.

On whom does the blame reside? The players? Kenny? Management?

Suarez is a world class player, but the money spent on Downing and Carroll was criminal.

But even then we need to get all the players healthy and playing together and how many times have we actually had the entire team together?

Why was no one signed in the winter window? Who do we target in the summer?

This season was unacceptable. The problem with hiring Kenny is he is a legend and the emotions play into it. But if Liverpool was under anyone else, how could you be surprised if the manager was sacked for this?
