No, it's an mv7 stud layout. Zoom in, notice the two blades under the ball of the foot on the lateral side (outside of the boot). Also, most other players will wear the hybrid sg pro, and the ones that wore the stock FGs were testing them, so don't jump to conclusions. Luis fabiano was the first pro to play in black/white sf2 and he had the sense stud(people thought it was a swivel stud then) but after the official release he had the SF1 blades on his world cup sf2.
Some pros do wear regular boots, like benoit assou-ekotto.

The only boot where the SG version has more studs than the FG.

You say that, but i saw pictures of Busquets training in Blackouts last week. So maybe they could be. Only time will tell i guess.

The new Vapor, the most over hyped boot release ever?

Please tell me something significantly different about this boot (and no, the slight difference in weight will not make a difference)

The synthetic material is much different, stud configuration, and from what has been said improved comfort. This is all different from the past models and if that stud configuration for the FG models holds up this could be one of the best Mercurial boots.

They changed the upper and the soleplate, how many times have other lines of boots changed the upper and the soleplate from one model to another? It happens all the time.

You sir, are correct about the soleplate being the mv7. Yes most pros have been testing the new soleplate for quite a while now and have had more than ample time to change if they wanted. So like I said so far it seems most pros are using the new soleplate. Nothing about that statement is jumping to conclusions. However, claiming "Nike has come up with another soleplate nobody wants" based on CR7 using the old soleplate would certainly be jumping to conclusions.

Yes plenty of pros wear the regular versions but you missed my point.

No pure soft ground release with the Vapors I'm afraid.

My guess would be a Neymar colourway but that is 100% guesswork

I doubt there ever, be as good as the MVIII's. But time will tell. The FirmGround plate, is an issue for concern. Stud pressure and balance issues could be major.

Apart from all this hype about the new Mercurials... How about the Tiempo's, I know they are just about to release the White/Green ones but does anyone know when they are going to release that Black/Red/Silver colour way? That's at least what I seem to remember it was. Any idea?

You never know, Nike could have made some big improvements we can't see in pictures... Although like I said before the studs look like they might end up being a problem.

the new vapor studs don't even look long enough to pose as an issue,

It's like most of you have never worn a pair of sg boots before, wow only two back studs!

I and i know many others have worn sg on slightly firmer grass and not had any issue at all, if your worried about it don't go wearing them on turf, which 90% of this board do then moan about how wrecked there boots are.

I couldn't agree with you more!

From what I've heard the new Tiempo's will be released sometime in May.

I don't play on turf, and I have never worn SG boots in my life. The pitches I play on are meant for HG boots, there's little to no grass along with holes and a very hard dirt.

I don't know about other people but because of the conditions I play on it worries me, although I'm sure many others don't play in such messed up fields. :(

That's pretty significant no? What are they supposed to do make the thing out of whale leather stitched with wire encrusted in diamonds?
