Mods, could you sticky this for the next few days. Lots of plans for this week. Should be an exciting and memorable day for soccer in KC.

Sometimes things just align in the life of a supporter. Things have definitely aligned this opening day. St. Patricks day, what has become a celebration of Irish Heritage combined with American love for beer. As soon as the schedule was announced we know we had to do something big. Something along the lines of entering the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

We have an incredibly talented group of people that have put together a fantastic float design. We intend on making The Cauldron know to everyone in Kansas City. We have helped all of the supporters groups create banners to carry. We have 3 entries to provide room for 300 people. This is a chance to let Kansas City see what supporters are capable of.

We have a full day of events lined up, culminating in the season opener vs New England. Here is a full schedule of where to be and when.

7am – Johnny’s Tavern in Power and Light will open for breakfast. Biscuits and Gravy, Bacon, Sausage, fruit, eggs, all for $5. Our usual drink specials will be available as well.

8am – Buses begin departing Johnny’s to take people to the parade staging area. There will be 2 buses departing every 30min. We need everyone in the staging area by 10:15 am.

11am – Parade begins. We show Kansas City how soccer fans get down.

12:30 – 1pm Parade ends. There will be 6 buses waiting at the end of the Parade to shuttle everyone back to Johnny’s Tavern.

1:30 – 2pm We are providing transportation to the stadium for free to anyone that wants it at this time. 6 Buses will depart Johnny’s and head straight into the parking lot at LSP where we will begin our tailgate. Sporting has arranged for the gates to open when we arrive. You can bring your coolers on the buses, or just eat and drink what we have set up for you. Buses will be standing by to provide transportation back to Johnny’s Tavern 45 minutes after the game. This is a large expense to The Cauldron however we want to make sure everyone is safe on this occasion. Please use the bus or have a DD if you are going to be drinking.

If you have purchased bus tickets via Eventbrite you have the first rights to the 2 buses that will be leaving Johnny’s at 5pm. If you would like to take the earlier bus please email musean77@gmail.com and you will be refunded.

2:30 – The tailgate begins. Featuring Boulevard Beer and food that is being arranged right now. We accept donations for both of $5 for food and $5 for beer. Gates will open upon caravan from Johnny’s arriving.

5pm – Johnny’s Buses depart for the stadium. These tickets were purchased via Eventbrite. If you would like to switch to the earlier bus please email musean77@gmail.com. You will be refunded.

6:30 – Tailgate ends and we take the party into the Members Club.

7:30 – Game Time. You know what to do, Bring it.

10:15 – Six buses depart LSP to return people to Johnny’s Tavern. You make it home safely.

The Cauldron is spending in the neighborhood of 7k to make all of this happen. Selling tickets and merchandise allow us to do these things. We thought of asking for donations to cover the expenses on this but instead we would like you to donate to Harvesters. Go to the link below and donate some money in our name. Help people less fortunate than ourselves have something to eat while we celebrate. Thanks

I want to know if and where you guys will be selling tshirts Saturday-

I need to know that I am giving back either way, as an out of town supporter I find that simply making a donation is nice but I also want to bring home something to show the people of Denver what their team doesn't have.
