Rampone would be older than Kristine Lilly was when she retired by the time of the next WWC, and Lilly was almost ageless. And I figure if you're going to retire, after the Olympics is the time - it gives the coach three years to break in a replacement before the next major tournament.

In keeping with the thread title ...

I'm going to see Cheno in concert in June. :D Bought my tickets on Friday. Thankfully, her site sent me an email to remind me. I'd almost forgotten. I don't have the best seat as they were sold out just 2 hours after going on sale, but I have the second best, up front. Still set me back $90. No wonder I don't go to concerts more often.

But it's a small (2,500) venue, set up more like an opera than regular concert, so it should be cozy. And there's hotels and restaurants within walking distance. Which is good, because I ********ing HATE driving in ATL.

Awesome! Should be a fantastic concert! I love that she sticks to smaller venues. 1 - it's more intimate and 2 - she likely won't have to use mics when singing.

Pass is correct but GCB does feature lots of shots of The Cheno's GCBs.

I didn't forget. But I still didn't see it, as I was working. Assuming I get a day off this week, I'll watch it online then.

  16. I'll answer my own question: boy, name is Garrett, he's 2 months old. Where is M9 to celebrate?

Also, Good Christian Bitches is hilarious

Awww. I'm sorry. :( I still haven't seen it yet due to work, but I'll hopefully get to see it on Friday.

I went looking after you posted that, and I couldn't find anything about her giving birth since the twins. Congrats to her, and so happy she named him Garrett. :)

The tickets I ordered to Kristin Chenoweth's concert in Boston just arrived in the mail today, plus I also just saw a random Khol's commercial featuring Mia Hamm on ABC. She was talking about how much she loved to score - not goals or in the bedroom but shopping bargains! Made my day a little brighter lol!

Well. Hell. I go away for a while to sort out (parts of ) life and when I return, the site has changed. Is it more than just a facelift/boob job? Or are there more substantive changes to bs? Guess I'd better check around.

Also, too. Working w/ someone that you also live with? Didn't work that great for me. I still work and live in the same place but now with different people and (apparently) fewer friends. C'est la vie.

Yeah, I've never even considered dating/living with someone I was working with. Never seemed like a good idea. Not that I'm judging ...

As for the site, it's a whole new BB system. The old one was just too bogged down with old/useless scripts and bulky code that they couldn't save. They started deleting never used parts of the site to save some wear and tear on the servers and it just didn't work. So, they went with something new. And I have to admit, aside from a few stray bugs and errors, it's working much, much faster than the old site.

But it is growing on me. Much more than when it first launched. They're talking about adding more skins to it, but for now, they're still ironing out some minor issues.

It's not very pretty right now, but it does seem to be working better. And just about everything seems to have ported over.

(Some of us have been around long enough to remember the bad old days 10+ years ago when every few months BigSoccer would crash completely and lose all the posts up until that point. That's why you won't find anything on here from earlier than 2002.)

For the record, I wasn't sleeping w/ the former coworker. But yeah, living & working together can be a bit much.

As for the new system, if it helps the site run better and didn't disappear all the posts like a certain crash did (I was a lurker back then), I'll get use to it. I'm not into all the blank space that is the rage now in webdesign but in another couple of years there will be something new that we won't like. /Get off my lawn
