That thing is giving me a headache. They need to lower the volume on it or get rid of it. Echoes too much, getting really annoying.

I was trying to figure out what that was...I agree, it's a little terrible.

Ya. Although I love ACB the loudspeaker was too loud and the guy using it used to too frequently.

That was coming through the stadium's speakers? I thought it was an errant microphone picking up a capo.

Quite loud. In fact, I could hear it pretty clearly through my TV (I honestly thought it was the stadium's speakers until I heard what was actually being spoken).

May I chime in as a neutral here?

That was probably the most obnoxious, annoying sound I've ever endured during an MLS broadcast.

What the hell was that, anyway?

Yea that was pretty bad. The TV mic's were picking it up a loud and clear. It may have been more tolerable if the guy yelling was in key.

Yeah, his off-pitch bellowing sounded like an overamped amateur DJ at spring break or something.

Do you guys (and the players) have to put up with this in the stadium every game? Or was this something new to last night? I've definitely never heard it on the TV broadcast of a Galaxy home game, and I watch nearly all of 'em.

Was that what it was? Holy crap, give it to someone who can freestyle at least so that there's rhythm and jive going. On second thought, never mind.

just give them one of those cones that the cheerleaders use. Or lower the volume on that thing. I like our supporters groups but don't become annoying. we don't need that.

My understanding is that there was little-to-no time for a practice or test before the game. I wasn't near the speakers (I was in 122), but I'm hearing that they were poorly positioned to a spot that put most of the noise onto the field instead of into our sections. Hopefully, with some adjustments, it won't be a problem on Wednesday.

It was distracting, but so was the guy in the stands / on the field with the mic and the seemingly increase requests to "direct my attention to the diamond vision". They'll get the megaphone problem fixed - we're stuck with the others...

The guy with the megaphone was awful. Dedicated, but awful.

Yes I watched the highlights today and it made me want to shut off the highlights. I can't imagine what it must have been like to sit through the whole match like that.

ACB ditch the mic. Also the stadium announcer wouldn't shut up about kids with cancer. Yes we get it the world sucks but for an hour and a half we get to yell at a referee and forget about the rest of the world.

Through the TV it sounded like a caveman grunting through a muffled megaphone. It was getting annoying, all I could think of is the team newcomers like Sarvas thinking we're primitives doing jungle chants. Love that guys passion but agree that either turn it down a notch or find a better sounding guy.

I'm wondering if this was an idea from the new COO. He said he wanted to get the supporters groups more involved.

Dear God, relax. The Galaxy gave ACB the PA and a single monitor, never set it up prior to the game. It was stood just above the wall pointing at the first two rows of section 121. There was no access to the PA or anything. The sound just bounced off the first row straight back onto the pitch. About 3/4 of ACB's section couldn't even hear the thing because it bounced back over the field.

Those of you talking s**T on the guy using it are obviously miserable bastards. I wish the stadium was full of guys of his ilk. Unfortunately it's not though and we're left with a porous bunch mocking a guy trying to step up LA's atmosphere.

Blame the monitor set up or lack of access to the PA's monitors, not the guy who had to use it. Honestly, some of you are dim.
