NO ONE is moving off the ball today. Suarez occasionally but it seems like we're playing with weights attached.

My God we are horrible right now. Adam needs to ride the pine for a while to realize that a first team spot needs to be earned on merit. But he won't. It just seems like we're going through the motions as a whole right now. Pretty hard to watch.

And the useless Henderson remains on the pitch.

Unless I've missed something, you don't have the ability to make unlimited interchanges in football.

Sacrilegious, I know, but how clueless are we this match?

    Good tweet from Anfield Index

He lost possession every 3 minutes.

Well I drove around sports bars in Salt Lake trying to find a bar open - nothing! Feeling better about that now.

Wow. That's damning evidence he needs to not start.

Since we're an analytically-driven club under the present owners, I can't imagine the data that convinced Commoli to sign him. I suppose one could say the same about Carroll.

In other news, Kuyt flubbed the potentially equalizing header. Dropped points.

    Another one:

Not surprising that Adam, Enrique, Suarez and Kelly are up there.

The way we're set up, Suarez is needed to do this, which just shows how poor Kenny, Clarke et al have set up the team, while the other three just aren't good enough technically, mentally or both.

No need to over reflect on this match; we've gone through similar post match ruminations this season, so rinse and repeat. We do need to accept that righ now we're basically a mid-table team with too many average players. Positive, though, is that Coates had 90 minutes. Nothing else.

For what it's worth 4 of the 5 with the lowest number of turnovers were Rafa signings (Coates the exception). I'm sure this was certainly a metric he used.

Kenny learnt that he has three subs available for a footy ball match...possible positive?

The performance has been so listless and toothless. It's almost hard to get upset, because this squad doesn't seem worth that emotion.

Predictable result. Hendo, Downing, Adam, etc were all useless today.

6th place is anything but guaranteed right now. We are now in Sunderland, Fulham & Stoke territory. Disgraceful, really.

Enrique gave away the ball just as much. When will someone get it through his thick head that he is not a playmaker? When he gains possession he should pass it to anyone on the team not named Adam.

Suarez lost the ball 17 times, but most of the times he's trying to do something spectacular and creative and that's acceptable. Adam isn't doing anything of the sort, he's just giving it up like a cheap hoor.

Glad I kept a couple of years on my life by not being able to watch this.

How many games in the league have we actually won this calendar year?

I know watching Adam in a red shirt is difficult (understatement of the decade)...but Enrique's biggest issue is that he fails to see any inside pass...period. There was one time at the start of the 2nd half when Spearing was open around the halfway line, with time to turn and face forwards, only for Enrique to not pass to him, then dribble no-where, then have to dribble backwards away from trouble, then he passed it back to Pepe. Spearing was rightly pissed.

my positive is that adam didn't play the whole game... i've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, and i think, at times, we've been especially harsh on him... but, that was a disgusting display of football by him...

the thing that was especially frustrating is that we didn't seem to care... even bellamy seemed to be going through the motions... i didn't notice him once tell someone to go eff themselves...

enrique has been very poor for weeks/months, yet we continue to try to force it down the left side... but, when you have a full back over there that can't pass, can't cross, can't shoot, doesn't seem to overlap that much, then what can we do over there? it's funny, i remember when we signed him, it was all about how good he is going forward, but is suspect defensively... he's shown himself to be the exact opposite, so far...

our midfeld is gross... please tell me, again, why aquilani couldn't get a game for us there, like i've read so many times?

lucas, lucas, my kingdom for a lucas...
