I think the apps are similar. Look at the scores tab. On mine they list the CCL game tonight with the MLS Live tag. Might just be a mistake.
Ah, yes. On the scores tab it lists it. As well as almost all of tomorrow's games. Just nothing in the actual "live" tab yet. Fingers crossed. Will be a nice test. I also have a Panasonic tv with the app on it, so I hope to test both and see which works better. Gotta love technology....
Where is the "live" tab? I see tabs for scores, videos, news, standings, tv, learn, alerts, options and clubs, but can't find the "live" tab on my iPad app.
As for the Roku, will the MLS Channel update itself or will I have to search for a new version in the channel store?
You have to go to "More" on the bottom, then click "options" and click on the top one "MLS/LIVE" to sign in to your account. Once you do that, when you are on the "video" tab - one of the choices across the top is "live". But there is nothing there yet, at least one mine. EDIT: Getting pretty much instant highlight video updates on the matchtracker, but no full live game.
The only complaint I have about the app is that I wish they would have allowed you to check and edit you fantasy team. Other then that it has been a major improvement from what they have come out with over the past couple years.
I just had to log into the old channel once I'd re-upped for this season. Was also able to watch matches from last season still. Nice!
I wonder if we'll finally be able to watch archived matches via the app? Never understood last season where you could watch archived matches on the web version of MDL but not via the app.
--I ordered a Roku from Amazon and I've been checking the shipping tracker all day. The estimated arrival is the 12th but I'm hoping it gets here Saturday. The one time Amazon isn't successful in tempting me to upgrade from Super Saver shipping.
I hope you get it on Saturday, I have Prime so its guaranteed for Saturday if not I'd be going nuts too, hoping to have it by Saturday
Wow that's pretty fast. I was just thinking you know it's the beginning of the MLS season when you spend a good 15-20 minutes ordering MLS Direct Kick (I have dish) as you keep getting put on hold and then someone comes on and asks if MLS is the same thing as UFC, etc. etc. Maybe some day in the far-off future I will even be able to order it myself on their website. *fingers-crossed* Also had to upgrade my TV package in order to pick up NBC Sports channel. Hopefully dish will add them to a lower tier at some point...
I'm not sure how it happened but after downloading the new 2012 iPhone app a few minuted ago I got confirmation from MLS Live that I'm subscribed to MLS Live with a cost of 0.00. I already had an account from last year. I did click the buy in-app purchase twice but then cancelled (was going to buy online with the discount). Then I clicked the link devices button and logged in with my account and then clicked restore purchases (just to see what would happen). Might have pressed and cancelled the in-app one last time. I was about to go to the website and just buy with the discount, then i saw the email confirmation. Anyone else experience similar?

Has anyone had any luck getting signed up for Direct Kick on Cox this year? I call last night and all they claim to have is a half-season package starting in July. I asked to speak to a supervisor and all they kept asking me was if I was sure the season started this weekend, because their records didn't show that. I pointed out that the games were even listed on their guide, and they said they (calling center) were based in Cleveland and couldn't look at local guides. I haven't had such a problem for a few years, but the old ignorance seems to be back with Cox.
Well, they should have a free preview on 3/10 for Direct Kick, so it shouldn't be an issue this weekend. Can you sign up for a 2012 DK subscription online via your Cox account?
Does Dish Network automatically renew your Direct Kick subscription? I hope not. I figured I'd ask here and avoid the utter confusion that results anytime you call the help line.
Somewhat disappointed that Roku just cancelled my order of 2 boxes after it being in limbo for 2 weeks. I understand that this is only going to support a limited number of devices, but sucks that I can't even order the only set top box it is available on.
