Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Just because I have Uber Special VIP Season Tickets doesn't mean I'm quite in the yacht buying category...
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Anybody else just get a basically blank axs page when they click the email link?
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! The whole page is Flash, so it's possible that you don't have the newest version running. sure, they might have WARNED you about that... It is now after 9am Eastern time and still no ticket sales, no waiting room, no nada.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! <sarcasm> I would like to thank AEG for their amazing site and practically non-existent convenience fees. You rock. </sarcasm>
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! As a whole, soccer fans are more...civil...than rugby fans. I expect they they have already started crawling through the actual Ethernet wires to get to AEG's scrawny little neck...
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! So. Apparently the system set up and the text in the email and on the screen do not match. So . . . . . the link that many people received will be active at 11 am (so they say). **But stay on the page it may come online at any moment
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! It is active right now, as of about 2 minutes ago. no waiting room, it just sent me right into the "buy your tickets" page.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! So...who wants section 206C row a seats 1-2? I have them held right now... This site is going to fail, I can keep holding them for 3 minutes at a time (I've done so a few times now). Ticketmaster won't let someone hold seats like that...
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! After filling out form, the site tried and tried and tried to load, finally did and I purchased tickets. They were already sent via email. Ticket fees suck.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Apparently, I can just keep buying tickets. Wow, this will be fun for big ticket expensive concerts. I can make a fortune on the resale market. Website is not great.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! I bought some tickets in sec. 228. I'm looking forward to going to the game.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! I still have those seats locked away. As long as I click the section every 2.5 minutes, It appears I can lock them away indefinitely. Screw you ticket brokers, you ain't getting my hostage seats!! Bwahahahaaaa!!!!
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! we're in the corner but in first row on level 1. not the best sightlines but close to the action. looking forward to it also - never been to a match at this level.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Section 238, row AA. Protip: when it suggests a seat in your price tier, you can click on other sections on the map in your tier.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Eh, bought front row section 237 right over the Party Deck. Yeah over 50% markup with "transparent fees!"
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Can someone explain a "convenience fee?" WTF? Why don't they just say $35 instad of $25 (plus fees)
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! That's part of the "transparency" that AEG was pushing for. See, by not hiding fees (well, except for *those* fees), and by not letting big ticket resellers claim all of the tickets (by logging over and over, as troutseth shows us is possible), and by not letting big ticket resellers claim seats indefinitely (as I showed was possible), then we can ALL enjoy the events equally. Get it?
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Fantastic - got three tickets in 226. Paid for and printed out E-Tickets. Then I looked at the date and realized that we'll be in Montreal that day for the away game My son is now the proud owner of three USA v. Italy tickets
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! i'm a bit skeptical. what kind of attendance do rugby games get here in the USA? i'm hoping it breaks 10,000. it would look good on Houston.
So far, the Compass will get international rugby, college gridiron football, and some musical concerts (maybe Buzzfest) as non-soccer events. But what about lacrosse, the sport is growing and getting popular especially in the college level. Maybe someday, the stadium will host the NCAA Lacrosse National Championship or Major League Lacrosse (MLL) championship.
No buzzfest, please. I'm not worried about the field, just the mass of halfwit corporate lemmings poisoning the air with their calls of 'wooo!' and 'hell yeah!' I don't want to come in on the next gameday and smell the idiocy.
