Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! My understanding is that AEG's code name for axs ticketing was "Project Bohica" At the lower priced tickets the effective "convenience" fee is 25-40%. I can't compare them to Ticketmaster but they don't seem any cheaper. I'm all for a business recovering the cost plus some margin on a ticketing system but there has to be a hefty margin in this.
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! I got an email from the Dynamo with a link. What I am seeing is HD Club Seats get pre-sale at 9AM (central time?), Preferred at 11AM (what does that mean? again central time?) and LSSE (??? at 1PM.) Does someone have the inside scoop on this?

Those are the Reliant Stadium people who are also involved in this event. I'm guessing that means Texans and Rodeo season ticket holders may also get in on this pre-sale at some point.

It is not a "hey, you get first crack at YOUR seats like we said you would, instead, you get to stand in a smelly waiting room where we will lube you up and hit you for $20 in fees for your overpriced ticket, which will be YOUR seats". Replace "YOUR seats" with "some other dude's smelly seats" and then it's correct. I want MY seats. Doesn't matter, there is no way I'm paying $75 (oh, wait, I mean almost $91) to see rugby.

I'm asking this so I won't sit online all day today trying to get seats when in reality I won't be able to purchase until Monday (I am a regular old garden variety STH.)
Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! Yes, upper club level. We got an e-mail that presale for us is 9am (meaning, 5 minutes from now). Currently the waiting room...doesn't exist. We got that email last night at...6:30 PM. Good timing! Thanks for the warning! right now I'm just waiting for the "waiting room" to open. I'm not going to buy tickets, but I want to see how the processess fleshes out.

Re: Rugby Match to be announced tomorrow! I know that there are a few things: 1) Houston is LOADED with ruggers and ex-pats. They will go watch any rugby team play at any time. 2) The local rugby community is sending out their pre-sale info to everyone they can find to help push early ticket sales 3) The day before the game is ther "Lost Afternoon" luncheon, which is always a big draw (meaning, ruggers from out of town, out of state...). They're going to have twice the number of rugby fans in town that week because of it. They are actually trying to fill the stadium.

Still no Virtual Waiting Room, but now you can happily give AEG you're credit card info, to "speed up the process". Or, so they have your credit card info... so, when they say that ticket sales are at 9, they seem to mean EASTERN TIME.
