There is no double standard. Rush works for Rush, the only way to take him off the air is to either get his sponsors to stop paying the money to pay him his 10 mil a year salary + the operations of EIB or catch him with a live boy/dead girl. That's a financial decision of the sponsors. How much of a liability is Rush, pure and simple. If people stop buying their products, combined with Rush's and other's ratings starting to slide a bit, he becomes a less effective means for pushing their products.
I didn't realize he did it repeatedly over 3 days. Even after getting called out after the first day he kept on going I also heard him make a statement saying she had sex 3 times a day. Seeing as he doesn't understand how contraception works, I started thinking how he came up with that number. 27? Last I heard, it was 7. Either way, as I listened yesterday and today, he had a full slew of advertisers. The ones that left will be replaced. Of course, I have no idea if Carbonite dropped sharply because of leaving Limbaugh, and we will know more in the coming weeks. His advertisers make huge profits for being on the most popular radio show in America. Chances are, they'll try to go to Hannity or Ingraham to stop the bleeding....or, they'll try to come crawling back when this blows over.

If you haven't crunched their numbers or looked over their past data since they began advertising on the show then don't even begin to float such stupidity here. By the way, Carbonite also airs ads on Ed Schultz radio show too, at least the last time I was able to listen to it so it seems as if they are just out to get their name recognized whether it be those on the right or left. And from looking at the stocks past history it's been on the decline since December. So one could make the case that because they were linked to the pill popper's show they've since a dramatic decrease in their stock price. Chances are Fat Baaastard will try and cut them a sweetheart deal to advertise on his show when this blows over.

I, for one, would like to thank him for completely obliterating the notion that this was ever about religious liberty and/or fairness. This was always about men saying "women shouldn't have sex except on our terms", and Limbaugh just made it blindingly obvious.
